ASUS ROG releases ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova And ROG Carnyx microphone
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova gaming headphones. Designed for competitive gaming, these headphones boast ROG SpeedNova 2.4 GHz wireless technology for ultra-low-latency audio, reliable connection, and optimized power efficiency. The Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova offers high-resolution up to 24-bit / 96 kHz audio1 with details further enhanced by Dirac Opteo™ technology.
Adaptive Active Noise Canceling optimizes noise cancelation based on the earpiece’s fit and shape of the ear canal, and Auto mode also adjusts the ANC effect based on ambient noise levels to ensure full immersion. Plus, bone-conduction AI microphones effectively enable precise voice pickup so the wearer is heard loud and clear. In Bluetooth mode, the Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova offers up to 46 hours of battery life. Charging is done wirelessly, plus there’s fast in-case charging to top up the headphones while on the go.
Dual-mode wireless connectivity
The ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova’s dual-mode wireless connectivity provides users with unrivaled flexibility, allowing them to connect via Bluetooth® or 2.4 GHz wireless. The Hybrid Multipoint feature allows for simultaneous pairing of two devices, one via Bluetooth and the other via the 2.4 GHz band with the bundled dongle.
ROG SpeedNova wireless technology
ROG SpeedNova wireless technology optimizes the 2.4 GHz band to deliver ultra-low latency audio performance and a robust connection. It’s also more energy efficient, providing up to 36 hours of battery life2 in 2.4 GHz mode.
Realistic audio
The ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova headphones take advantage of the LC3+ codec to deliver high-resolution 24-bit/96 kHz audio in 2.4 GHz mode. Additionally, Dirac Opteo™ offers rich details and accurate sound staging for true-to-life audio.
Adaptive ANC technology delivers major enhancements in noise cancelation as it makes real-time adjustments by constantly detecting how the earbuds are worn and how sound is reflected within the ear canal, resulting in personalized listening experiences. Plus, integrated wind-noise reduction actively reduces distracting wind noise. Additionally, an Auto mode identifies ambient noise levels and dynamically adjusts noise cancelation for immersive audio.
Bone-conduction AI microphones
The lack of a boom mic can make voice pick-up a challenge for earbud-based headphones, but the Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova features bone-conduction sensors that help clearly capture voice via the vibrations of the bones in the wearer’s head. Together with the AI Noise Canceling (ANC) beamforming microphones, they effectively reduce background noise while maintaining a natural sound to ensure crystal-clear calls.
Long battery life
The ROG Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova headphones can be charged wirelessly or via a USB-C® connection. Fast in-case charging provides up to an hour of use with just a 5-minute charge, and up to 46 hours² of listening time (in Bluetooth mode).
Armoury Crate
The Armoury Crate app is designed to help users get the most out of the Cetra True Wireless SpeedNova headphones. It allows users to select linked devices, adjust the ANC mode (Auto / Low / Mid / High) or EQ levels, or even enable voice notifications. Armoury Crate can also be used to create a custom look with ASUS Aura RGB lighting, which offers up to 16.8 million colors and includes four preset light effects.
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced ROG Carnyx, a professional-grade cardioid USB microphone that features a 25 mm condenser capsule and a 24‑bit / 192 kHz sampling rate to deliver natural and rich sound. It offers uninterrupted, clear recordings thanks to a high-pass filter that reduces low-frequency noise, a built-in pop filter that prevents plosives, and a metal shock mount that minimizes external vibrations. A one-touch mute button and multi-functional control knob provide intuitive control over mic settings for more convenient recording and streaming sessions. ROG Carnyx is even endorsed by professional Valorant player and streamer Sam “s0m” Oh.
Natural and rich sound
Compared to standard microphones, the Carnyx features a larger 25 mm condenser capsule that improves low-frequency performance and delivers rich, natural, warm vocal tones. The microphone’s high 24-bit / 192 kHz sampling rate ensures high-fidelity sound reproduction that reflects every nuance of the user’s voice. The cardioid polar pattern of the Carnyx emphasizes sounds from the front, and minimizes sound pickup from the sides and rear, making this microphone ideal for solo streamers, gamers, and podcasters.
Clean, uninterrupted recordings
The studio-grade high-pass filter cuts out unwanted low-frequency background noises below 80 Hz, such as rumble or hum. This prevents the user’s voice from sounding muddy, helping it stand out. Additionally, a built-in pop filter employing foam and mesh layers helps prevent plosives when the mic is used up-close. The Carnyx also features a premium, sturdy, all-metal shock mount that includes elastic suspension cables that isolate the mic from external vibrations like keystrokes or mouse clicks that can travel through the table.
Intuitive control
The Carnyx features a one-touch mute button that works silently. There's also a multi-functional control knob that can be used to adjust microphone and multimedia volume or to turn the high-pass filter on or off. The Carnyx also offers real-time monitoring via a 3.5 mm headset jack, with volume adjustment enabled via the multi-functional control knob.
Unmatched personalization and flexibility
The Carnyx features ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting, which offers six preset lighting effects within the Armoury Crate app. Users can also synchronize effects with other Aura Sync-enabled products, to give streaming or gaming setups a unified look.
Plus, Armoury Crate offers additional customization options, allowing users to activate the high-pass filter, customize EQ profiles, tweak RGB lighting, or adjust other settings.
The Carnyx includes a bundled USB cable to connect to laptops or PCs, allowing users to start streaming right out of the box. Its built-in mount adapter fits standard 3/8-inch threads for compatibility with most mic stands or boom arms.
