BenQ announced today a new Double Layer recorder with the codename DW1620A. The drive supports 16X DVD+R writing, 12X -R writing and 2.4X Double Layer recording making it one of the fastest available recorders... The drive supposed to hit market early August and will phase out DW1600A that supports only 16X DVD+R writing.
