BIOSTAR Launches the Affordable S100 Series Plus SSD series
BIOSTAR announced the S100 Plus series SSD, an affordable solid state drive (SSD) designed for laptop and desktop computer upgrades.
The SSD is built in a 2.5-inch unibody with 7.0mm casing and is available in capacities of 240GB and 480GB.
With the SATAIII 6GB/s interface, the S100 240GB Plus has sequential read/write speeds of 510MB/s and 370MB/s, and the S100 480GB Plus with read/write speeds of 540MB/s and 460MB/s.
The S100 Plus Series SSD is equipped with a six-layer PCB, making it durable in harsh environments (up to 70˚C (158˚F)).
The S100 240GB Plus is sold at US$35 and the S100 480GB Plus is sold at US$59.
