CD Projekt Red Cyberpunk 2077 Next-Gen Version and Patch 1.5 Available
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.5 is now out, along with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X editions of the game, delivering optimizations for these new platforms, additional content, and many quality of life enhancements. There is also some good news for PC users.
All platforms will receive new weapons as part of patch 1.5, as well as new departments for V, the option to switch departments, and a reworking of the gameplay, economy, and loot systems as outlined during the announcement broadcast. Additionally, the revised versions for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S / X have improved picture quality and NPC behavior, while the PS5 adds DualSense compatibility, including enhanced use of its haptic features for increased immersion. Both the PS5 and XSX support Ray-Tracing in its quality mode, which operates at 4K@30FPS with RT enabled. Additionally, these two consoles will include a performance option capable of 4K@60FPS without the use of RT, but the Xbox Series S will only support 1440p@30FPS without the use of RT.
Finally, a test mode was introduced for PC users, allowing them to monitor their PC's performance in-game, as well as support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, which improves performance while employing this rescaling technique.
