CyberDrive introduces highest speed internal 52X CD-R/RW drive

CyberDrive introduces highest speed internal 52X CD-R/RW drive

General Interest Dec 4,2002 0

The American market now has access to a quality CyberDrive CD-R/RW drive that reads, writes and rewrites at industry-leading speeds. CyberDrive designs and manufactures quick and reliable media-storage products at economical prices. The internal 52X drive is shipped with Nero Software, SUPERLink buffer under-run protection and features read speeds up to 52X, write speeds up to 52X and re-write speeds up to 24X. The internal 52X CD-R/RW drive (Product #CWO99D) is now available at ASI, Ingram Micro, Lasertech, MIC, PMI, and Rainbow Computer. MSRP is $99.00. "CyberDrive's goal is to offer end-users the ability to store audio and video quickly and efficiently," said Thomas Lui, a CyberDrive spokesperson. "The internal 52X offers the fastest speed available in the industry yet its price reflects our tradition of offering valuable products at affordable costs."

SUPERLink buffer under-run protection is employed to allow trouble free creation of CD audio and other disc types under the most difficult conditions. The SUPERLink feature allows the high speed, high quality writing of discs on the first try, regardless of a computer's performance or drive buffer size. Buffer under-runs are no longer a problem with SUPERLink since the drive automatically responds to the condition and continues writing as soon as more data is available without causing a buffer under-run error.

CyberDrive's internal 52X drive can be installed into any PC with an IDE/ATAPI interface and a free 5.25-inch, half-height bay.
