8.Rioddas BT-638 (2nd variation)
Due to our error, we managed to order a second Rioddas BT-638 drive, which as the same box and appearance as the previous Rioddas BT-638 drive we saw earlier...
Nothing special for this drive
At the bottom there is the connection cable
and opening the drive .. unveils a different drive than the first Rioddas BT-638...this time the drive is labeled as Lenovo and has a manufacturing date of March 2010
Its not possible to see the real manufacturer of the drive.
After connecting with the test PC, we saw that the 2nd variation of the Rioddas BT-638 comes from HL-DT-ST with codename GU10N and MX05 firmware. No newer firmware is found for this drive.
We used the latest USB Drive Info software and we found that the PC connects with the external drive at USB2.0 (High Speed) and not at advertised USB3.0, despite we used various USB3.0 ports at different systems. While this may work it might produce problems with newer systems...
Lastly we found around the internet the following drive's specs
