Facebook Home Hit 500K Downloads
The Facebook Home application downloads have reportedly crossed the 500,000 mark since being launched for Android, less than week ago.
The Facebook Home application transforms an Android 4.0 phone into a Facebook-centric device, by providing a flow of information from the site to the phone without the need to access an application. It integrates Facebook's features such as as likes, comments or messages.
Since launch the application has now been downloaded over 500,000 times, tech analyst Benedict Evans (@BenedictEvans), tweeted on April 22.
While this number of downloads is impressive, the popularity of Facebook's latest software is not as high other apps in the past, such as the Android Instagram app. In addition, the reviews for the Home are not very good, as the interface has a rating of two out of five stars on Google Play, with most users who rated the app giving it just one star.
AMong the complains, some users claim that Facebook Home drains the batter of their phones, Others say they simply don't like being exposed to Facebook every time they use their device.
