Google Is Opening Outlets For The Christmas Season
Google is entering the retail space this year to promote its gadgets through snow globe-shaped Winter Wonderlabs.
The search giant is opening six showrooms across the United States in order to promote its gadgets and services.
The "Winter Wonderlabs" will be opened in New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey and Sacramento, according to the company's new website. The outlets are shaped like giant snow globes and complete with fake snow. Guests will be able to create slow-motion action videos to take home with them.
Of course, the Winter Wonderlab is also a fun and interactive way to experience all of Google?s new gadgets in one place. Consumers will be able to order Nexus 7 tablets, Chromebooks, Google apps and the video-streaming Chromecast gadget after testing them out in the play zone first.
Google hopes that the new outlets will help the company's retail sales, as Microsoft has a number of retail outlets and Apple enjoys great success from its outlets.
