The Highly Anticipated Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will be Available in U.S. Starting this Week

Smartphones Jan 27,2026 0

Galaxy Z TriFold has piqued the interest of consumers worldwide and availability for the highly anticipated device starts this week, January 30, 2026. From next level productivity to cinematic experiences, users can experience engineering mastery — showcasing Samsung’s advanced foldable technologies optimized for the multi-folding design that opens to reveal a stunning 10-inch display.1

“Samsung has a long history of pioneering category defining devices”, said Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America. “Galaxy Z TriFold builds on that legacy with a standout form factor that allows users to enjoy the convenience of a smartphone and the usability of a tablet within a single design that can fold into your pocket.”

Only 3.9 mm at its thinnest point,2 Galaxy Z TriFold delivers a thin, light, and portable frame that’s packed with the power and possibilities of an Ultra device thanks to its customized Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy,3 a 200 MP camera,4 our largest battery on a foldable phone, and an intuitive Galaxy AI5 experience integrated into the UI. Users can edit with ease on the large display while taking advantage of fan-favorite features like Photo Assist,6 Generative Edit,7 and Sketch to Image8 to allow users to capture and create with Samsung’s most versatile creative platform.

On Galaxy Z TriFold, AI isn’t only for creatives, it’s for all. Whether you want to ask a question and have it understand the context of the conversation, need to multitask without switching apps, or want to speak naturally like you would to a friend, AI on Galaxy Z TriFold is ready to provide real-time guidance for whatever you need. With Gemini Live,9 the device can even understand what users see, say, and do — offering users more flexibility and control.

Housing these incredible experiences is Samsung’s new display technology, a reinforced overcoat for added shock absorption, and a titanium hinge that enables the double folding display technology while ensuring the durability users expect from their phone. For long-term reliability, Galaxy Z TriFold’s main display undergoes a 200,000-cycle multi-folding test — equivalent to folding the device approximately 100 times a day for five years — along with a series of scenario-based evaluations. Every unit goes through a series of strict quality checks to achieve this high standard, including CT scanning of the flexible printed circuit board to verify the design.

Galaxy Z TriFold will be available throughout the U.S. at Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung.com on January 30, 2026, starting at $2,899.00. It comes in a Crafted Black colorway with 512GB of storage. If you want to test out the experience today, Galaxy Z TriFold is currently on display at Samsung Experience Stores.

1 Measured diagonally, Galaxy Z TriFold’s Cover Screen size is 10.0 inches in a full rectangle and 9.9 inches accounting for the rounded corners. The actual viewable area is smaller due to the rounded corners and camera hole.
2 Thickness measured from top to bottom of the device at the thinnest point, excluding the camera and the pre-installed protective film. Approximately 3.9 mm (screen with the SIM tray), 4.2 mm (center screen), 4.0 mm (screen with side button).
3 Snapdragon is a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries. Snapdragon is a trademark or registered trademark of Qualcomm Incorporated.
4 Optical quality zoom is enabled by the Adaptive Pixel Sensor. The 2x distance is optical quality zoom.
5 Galaxy AI basic features provided by Samsung are free. Any Samsung enhanced AI features and all third-party AI features are subject to different terms and may be subject to fees. (Galaxy AI basic features are listed under “Advanced intelligence” in Samsung Services Terms and Conditions.)
6 Photo Assist requires a network connection and Samsung Account login.

A visible watermark is overlaid on the image output upon saving in order to indicate that the image is generated by Galaxy AI. The accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed.
8 Sketch to Image feature requires a network connection and Samsung Account login. Editing with Sketch to Image may result in a resized photo up to 12MP. A visible watermark is overlaid on the image output upon saving in order to indicate that the image is generated by AI. The accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed.
