IO Data Device Corp. will release late February in Japan the portable BRP-UT6UHD / CK and the larger BRD-UT16LX external Ultra HD Blu-ray burners.

The BRP-UT6UHD / CK is a portable USB 3.0 drive that can reproduce Ultra HD Blu-ray discs using the bundled WinDVD UHD BD video playback software.

The drive measures about 136 × 146 × 14.6 mm (W × D × H) and its weight is about 240g. Basic specs include:

IO Data's second device is the BRD-UT16LX, which will also be released at the same timeframe for about 22,800 yen.

This exterbal BD burner has a USB 3.0 PC connection and it is poewred by an external power supply. It supports up to 16X BD-R SL burning and
Ultra HD Blu-ray playback using the WinDVD UHD BD" software and a Windows 10 PC.
