Japan Display Develops High Definition VR Head Mounted Displays for Businesses

Enterprise & IT Nov 27,2018 0

Japan Display Inc. has developed a VR head mounted display (VRM-100) featuring an LCD panel developed exclusively for business users.

The VRM-100 features a high definition LCD panel (2880 × RGB × 1600 615ppi) and a gyro sensor. It has detachable VR goggles and allows users to view high definition VR content without needing any external head tracking sensors and controllers. However, this is not a stand alone VR headset, as it requires a PC connection.

The company will sell the VRM-100 to developers in Japanese corporations, at least for now. It will start accepting pre-orders from December 3rd, with shippments to be schefuled for the middle of December.
