LG Adds Google Play movies To Smart TVs
LG is set to offer movies from Google Play on its smart TVs in 100 countries. Beginning this month, LG smart TV owners will be able to view movies and TV shows via Google Play Movies & TV, which allows viewers to rent or buy content from major Hollywood studios.
Compatible with LG’s webOS Smart TV platform (as well as its earlier NetCast 4.0 and 4.5), Google Play Movies & TV will offer classics, new releases and independent films in both HD and SD formats.
Movies will become available starting this month in 104 countries, while the TV service will roll out initially in the US, the UK, Australia and Canada, according to LG.
