Lumia 530 Entry-level Windows Phone Released
Microsoft has just released the Lumia 530, the most affordable Lumia phone running the Windows Phone 8.1 OS. Right out of the box the Lumia 530 delivers features such as Action Center, Word Flow, Cortana (where available) and personalised Start screen backgrounds.
At the heart, the Lumia 530 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 4-inch LCD display.
For those that like to get stuff done on the move, you’ll have the celebrated Microsoft apps such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – packaged as Microsoft Office always with you.
Furthermore and by power of the cloud, any new document you create or existing document you edit can be automatically synced.
While 15GB of free cloud storage is available via OneDrive, Lumia 530’s on-board memory is expandable up to 128GB using a MicroSD memory card.
Lumia 530 comes in both single SIM 3G and Dual SIM 3G versions. Both versions are available in bright orange, bright green, white, dark grey.
If you’re into taking photos, Lumia 530 has a 5-megapixel camera and the imaging apps like Instagram to go with it. And with the new GlamMe app, you can take voice guided selfies using the 5MP rear camera.
The Lumia 530 Single SIM and Lumia 530 Dual SIM are expected to be priced at €85 before taxes and subsidies and on the highstreet for under €100. The Lumia 530 will be available globally, with rollout beginning in select markets in August 2014.
In addition to the Lumia 530, Nokia announced the new Bang mini speaker by Coloud.
This portable speaker costs only €19 making it the great companion to Lumia 530 and MixRadio.
Connected to your phone via the 3.5mm headset jack, the rechargeable speaker provides great sound for up-to 8hours.
And you can even daisy-chain several of them together for a BIG sound.
The Bang will be available in the coming weeks.
