Luxottica and Intel plan to release their first pair of glasses next year, co-Chief Executive Massimo Vian told shareholders on Friday. The two companies have announced a partnership towards the development and promotion of wearable technology devices.

Massimo Vian said that the first product coming out of this partnership with Intel "would allow people to see, listen, even speak", adding that Luxottica continued to work on the second version of the Google Glass and was in constant contact with the CEOs of Intel and Google.

Vian expects the first pair of glasses (with Intel) will be ready in February or March.next year
