Microtech announces Xpress Lite

Microtech announces Xpress Lite

General Interest Nov 6,2002 0

Microtech Systems, the foremost experts in high-end disc publishing and duplication, announced today the introduction of Xpress Lite. For the first time ever, Xpress Lite makes Microtech system quality available to duplication customers at an extremely attractive price. Microtech's impressive standard suite of software features excels at real-time publishing and pre-mastering of unique discs. The features required to make multiple copies of just a few masters (duplication) represent a small subset of the standard Microtech suite. Xpress Lite allows those duplication customers to select and pay for just the features needed to support their particular business model.

Microtech will offer stepped upgrades to enable Xpress Lite customers to add necessary features as their duplication business needs mature and change. "Xpress Lite allows duplication customers to benefit from the years of experience Microtech's gained since we brought the first CD-R duplication system to the market; without paying for advanced publishing features. Ultimately the customer can enjoy the quality and performance of a first-class automated platform at an affordable price, adding more sophisticated features as their business evolves," says Dr. Mike Fallovollita, Chief Technical Officer at Microtech Systems.

According to John Beckstrom, Chief Operating Officer at Microtech, "The disc duplication market has traditionally been extremely cost-competitive. This market dynamic subjects the vendors offering products in that sector to enormous price pressure. Ultimately, the products available to the duplication segment of the disc market begin to suffer. Xpress Lite offers these customers a chance to make use of leading edge hardware technology at a price that was previously unheard of for Microtech level quality".

Microtech customer, Mr. Jeff Spira, owner of Universal Recording Supply in Lakewood NJ says, "I've always known that Microtech offers a superior level of quality in their products. Until now, it wasn't possible to justify the expense of a full-blown Microtech system. Presently, my business needs a product to produce volume copies of a limited number of masters. Xpress Lite allows me to take advantage of Microtech's incredible loader performance without the burden of paying for a host of features that don't apply to my process."

All Xpress systems are delivered complete with a fully integrated PC featuring a 1.5GHZ Pentium 4 Processor, 40GB SCSI hard drive, and a 15" flat panel LCD monitor.
