MSI Latest X-Slim Series Ultra Portable X340 Unveiled at CeBIT

Available on the CeBIT show floor is the latest MSI X-Slim Ultra Portable Notebook X340 and X600. The latest X340 Ultra Portable Notebook (19.8mm thickness) is designed with multimedia functions, featuring 16:9 widescreen 13" LED display (1,366 x 768) and weighing just 1.3kg. The Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform with ULV CPU provides the user with performance, multimedia features, as well as power saving advantages.



MSI will offer two versions of the X340. The X340 is powered by the Core 2 Duo SU2700 and the GS40 chipset and the X340 PRO version will use a Core 2 Duo SU3500 (1.4GHz) and Intel's GS45 chipset. Optionally, the X340 will come with an HDMI port and WiMAX built-in functionality.

In addition, X340 is offered in three different colors, which are: Splendid Champagne Gold, Elegant Pearl White and Stylish Techno Black.

MSI also introduced the ultra portable concept and design to the larger notebook models. The newest X600 is equipped with a 16:9 widescreen 15" display but weighs only 2kg.
