VIZIO announced today its new 2017 SmartCast M-Series Ultra HD HDR XLED Plus Display collection.

Powered by VIZIO's full-array local dimming backlight technology, XLED Plus, the 2017 M-Series enhances on-screen content with brightness, color, radiant contrast and deep black levels.

Coming this summer, SmartCast TV will enable viewers to use the included remote to browse featured content and a curated list of apps directly on the big screen. For those who prefer to control their entertainment via a mobile device, SmartCast Mobile is an app available for download for iOS and Android that transforms mobile devices into touchscreen remotes. With Chromecast built-in, consumers can browse through apps on their phones before streaming to the big screen. The new TVs support both Dolby Vision and HDR10 content. Those who crave inky black levels will appreciate Xtreme Black Engine Plus which utilizes 32 local dimming zones and VIZIO's advanced local dimming algorithm to dynamically adapt brightness to mimic the on-screen image. Additionally, Clear Action 360 technology and a 120Hz effective refresh rate achieved with backlight scanning ensure action-filled scenes come across smooth.
