Nintendo has reportdely pushed back the production of its next-generation game console, the Nintendo NX, as the Jap[anese company wanted to enhance the game console's video-game and handheld-game-integrated gaming experience and add virtual reality (VR) function. Nintendo originally planned to bring the NX to mass production this year, but now the system will be enter mass production in early 2017, Digitimes.com reports, citing sources from the related upstream supply chain in Taiwan.

The Nintendo NX will be assembled by Foxconn Electronics, aand other Taiwan-based component suppliers include Macronix International, Pixart Imaging and Delta Electronics.
