Samsung’s First Galaxy Chromebook Launches at CES

Samsung’s First Galaxy Chromebook Launches at CES

PC components Jan 6,2020 0

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today introduced Galaxy Chromebook, a 2-in-1 Chromebook.

As the thinnest Samsung Chromebook ever released, it combines Samsung's technical innovation – such as an AMOLED display and built-in-pen support, offering users new ways to take advantage of Chrome OS.

Available in a Fiesta Red, or more subdued Mercury Gray, it is measuring just 9.9mm thick, and it is made to withstand the everyday wear-and-tear of life on the move, built from aluminum.

The Galaxy Chromebook boasts an AMOLED display—the first ever featured on a Chromebook—that delivers 4K UHD resolution. Coupled with a near-infinite screen and slim 3.9mm bezel, this device offers true-to-life visuals. Available later this year, Galaxy Chromebook will soon come with HDR400 that delivers high-contrast graphics, along with Ambient EQ capabilities.

The built-in pen lets you write, draw, and navigate Galaxy Chromebook quickly. Plus, with Google Assistant, time and energy is never wasted so you can focus more on the things that matter most. Co-engineered with Intel as part of the Project Athena innovation program, the Galaxy Chromebook passed testing to achieve the program’s experience targets. The speed and efficiency of Galaxy Chromebook is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor along with Intel Wi-Fi 6.

Thanks to Google Drive functionality, files automatically sync across Android devices, so you can access all your documents, all the time.

And with the Click-to-Call and Messaging apps, you can use all your Samsung smartphone features directly on your laptop. With Instant Tethering, boot times as fast as six seconds, and automatic updates that run in the background, Galaxy Chromebook is always ready for action.

The Galaxy Chromebook will be available in Fiesta Red and Mercury Gray in Q1 2020, starting at $999.99.
