Samsung Details New Galaxy A70, Galaxy Fold Coming In May
Samsung Electronics today unveiled the Galaxy A70, the newest smartphone in the popular Galaxy A range.
The Galaxy A70 showcases a stylish design, infinity display and triple camera.
It is featuring a 6.7” Infinity-U display with a 20:9 display ratio and is available in four colors including Coral, Blue, Black and White, with a
prism effect to reveal gradient colors depending on light direction and reflections.
The Galaxy A70’s triple camera comes with a 32MP super high-resolution front and rear lens. The Depth lens enables you to adjust the depth of field to focus before and after taking a shot so people can choose what and where they want to highlight. The 8MP Ultra Wide Lens are responsible for expansive photos that mirror the same viewing angle as the human eye.
The Galaxy A70’s Scene Optimizer can recognize and enhance up to 20 scenes. Flaw Detection automatically identifies glitches before you click.
The Galaxy A70 comes with a 4,500 mAH battery. With Super-Fast Charging at 25W, you can be back in the action faster when you need a battery boost.
The Galaxy A70’s new positioning of the on-screen fingerprint scanner makes it more convenient to control access to your phone without requiring people to reposition the grip. Paired with Samsung Pass, you can sign into websites and apps by using biometric authentication as an easier and more secure way of logging-in. These features are enabled by Samsung Knox, Samsung’s defense-grade security platform designed to protect from chipset to software.
Salaxy A70 features Samsung’s One UI platform, which enables convenient and smarter interaction including One Handed Navigation. You can enable One UI’s Night Mode to switch the display to evening time viewing and get more control over screen time with the Galaxy A70’s App Timer that gives visibility over your screen usage levels. Additionally, the Galaxy A70 includes Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Bixby, and more.
The Galaxy A that will be revealed at ‘A Galaxy Event’ – taking place across three different continents on April 10th. Samsung also plans to showcase the higher-end version of the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A90.

Galaxy Fold coming to Europe in May
Samsung also said Tuesday that it plans to release its first foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold, in Europe in early May.
Samsung showcased its first foldable device during a global event late last month in the hopes that the new device will become a game-changer in the lethargic smartphone market.
The new smartphone will be sold from May 3 in Britain, France and 13 other European nations, with the price set at 2,000 euros.
The Galaxy Fold features the world’s first foldable 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display, which folds into a compact device when closed, fully protected with a Gorilla Glass 6 finish.
With six camera lenses - three in the back, two on the inside and one on the cover - the foldable model will provide a new level of multitasking, the firm said. Users can open up to three active apps simultaneously on the main display.
The Galaxy Fold features the world’s first foldable 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display, which folds into a compact device when closed, fully protected with a Gorilla Glass 6 finish.
The Galaxy Fold’s App Continuity feature allows seamless app transitions between the phone’s cover and the Infinity Flex main display, collaborating with Google to enable an ecosystem of apps that are easy to use. A Multi-Active Window that allows users to easily multi-task across three open apps at once.
The devices comes in a range of colors including Space Silver, Cosmos Black, Martian Green and Astro Blue.
Samsung said earlier the Galaxy Fold starts at $1,980 and will hit shelves in the U.S. market April 26.
All devices will come with Galaxy Buds and a protective Kevlar case.
The foldable model's 5G version is expected to be available in May in the South Korean market.
