Samsung Pay Mini Coming To Android Phones
Samsung has announced it will roll out the Samsung Pay Mini mobile online payment service for non-galaxy Android smartphones in South Korea.
The app is expected to be available in the first quarter of this year.
The stripped-down version of Samsung Pay - which can be used for both online and offline payments, but only for Galaxy phones - was first announced in May last year. It supports a host of South Korean credit cards including Samsung Card, Hana Card, and Lotte Card. Users can secure the app with a fingerprint or a password.
The launch of Samsung Pay Mini is expected to help increase take up of Samsung's services, and boost its online presence and brand awareness, which has taken a hit in the wake of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 debacle.
