ATI-Based Graphics Solutions
TWO X1950 PRO Graphics processors on a single card ? the latest introduction from Sapphire, dubbed the SAPPHIRE X1950 PRO DUAL and being shown for the first time in Europe.
The SAPPHIRE X1950 PRO DUAL brings fast gaming performance, comparable with ATI CrossFire dual GPU systems, together with industry-leading image quality and High Definition digital video. The same thickness as a standard two slot graphics card, the SAPPHIRE X1950 PRO DUAL connects via a single PCI-Express x16 slot, bringing DUAL GPU performance to mainboards with only one PCI-Express connector, and opening up the possibility of the world's first Quad AMD GPU operation in an ATI CrossFire mainboard.
The SAPPHIRE X1950 PRO DUAL features a full 1 Gigabyte of on board GDDR3 for the first time and both cores operate with engine clock speeds of 580MHz and memory timings of 1400MHz. Image quality is unrivalled, with 64-bit floating point High Dynamic Range rendering (HDR), blending capability and high quality anisotropic filtering (AF) combined with Anti-Aliasing (AA). The architecture also supports ATI Avivo delivering vibrant high fidelity images and video playback to the latest High definition video standards and is HDTV ready.
Loyal to Legacy AGP systems
Sapphire continues to support AGP systems with ATI-Radeon based cards. The SAPPHIRE X1950 PRO AGP 512MB will soon be joined by the cost effective SAPPHIRE X1950 GT AGP 256MB.
CrossFire mainboards with HDMI
Sapphire has been shipping two models supporting AMD Socket AM2 processors in its Pure Crossfire series. Exclusive to Sapphire, the PURE Crossfire PC-AM2RD580 motherboard offers extreme overclocking and expansion features. Based on the latest Radeon Express-3200 chipsets and SB600 Southbridge it combines support for the powerful AMD Athlon64, FX and dual core processors with a complete set of performance tuning features. The Advantage version shares many of the same features but at a lower price point.
Now the family is joined by a new PURE Innovation HDMI model for AMD AM2 processors. The SAPPHIRE PI-AM2RS690MHD is based on the new AMD 690 chipset and features HDMI, VGA and DVI-D outputs, a host of peripheral interfaces and HD Dolby Digital Live surround sound audio all in a micro-ATX format ideal for home theatre or compact yet powerful PC systems.
