Sharp Introduces 4K Mobile Display, New Device Business In China Conference
Sharp exhibited at CITE (China Information Technology Expo) 2015, the largest scale integrated electronics and information industry exhibition held at Shenzhen, China (Apr.9-11), and held a conference on Apr. 10 introducing Sharp's device business lead by LCD panels. Norikazu Hohshi, Representative Director and Senior Executive Managing Officer, introduced the transition in Sharp's device business and activities in the China market, together with the company's advanced featured devices.
Sharp showcased a 104-inch class touch panel display, along with a 5.5-inch class 4K IGZO LCD panel for smartphones.
The world's first 5.5-inch mobile display with a 2160 x 3840 pixels Ultra-HD (4K) resolution is scheduled for mass production in 2016, and comes with a mind-boggling pixel density of 806 pixels per inch.
Other exhibits included the "Free-Drawing touch panel" aiming to realize the same freedom of usability of the paper and pen, and "In cell type touch panel" with high-detection ability to realize larger size and higher resolution touch panel solutions.
