Sony Updates VAIO Line With 2 New Laptops

Sony Updates VAIO Line With 2 New Laptops

PC components Sep 14,2006 0

These VAIO ranges are now more powerful and more capable of promising an outstanding entertainment experience. The AR20-Series notebook series features processor options all the way up to the Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 for unprecedented power, backed by up to 2GB of high-speed DDR2 memory. Archival capacity is provided on selected models by a Blu-ray Disc Multi-format Dual Layer drive (combining BD-R/RE and DVD±RW/RAM capability).

The flagship VGN-AR21S even features 17-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution displays able to handle 1080 - the highest possible HD resolution. Most models feature an integrated hybrid tuner for digital (DVB-T) as well as analogue TV, and they all have an HDMI output for connection to an HD-ready TV or HD-capable display.

For anyone wanting superlative graphics in a smaller format notebook, there's the FE30-Series. Its 15.4-inch, 1280 x 800 resolution widescreen display features both X-black LCD enhancement for outstanding contrast and colours, and on selected models, double lamp technology pushes brightness up to new levels. Other stand-out new FE30-Series features include a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to the 2GHz T7200, and on certain models a full 2GB of memory and a massive 200GB hard disk.
