SuperTalent Ships Secure USB Flash Drives

PC components Feb 11,2011 0

Super Talent Technology today announced the DataGuardian, a password protected USB flash drive that makes data security easy and affordable. The company's drives allows users to keep their data safe without public and private partitions or even the need for software. Users may simply plug in the DataGuardian and an application is automatically launched from the drive’s firmware (on-chip). They enter their password and have access to their data. By unplugging the drive, the drive is secure once again. The DataGuardian also blocks all Auto-run based malware attacks; a malware propagation technique that as become the #1 distribution method for recent virus attacks targeted at USB flash drives.

The DataGuardian USB 2.0 flash drives are available in capacities of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB.
