Vintage Apple Computer Sells For $671,400
An original 1976 Apple I home computer was sold for $671,400 at the Breker auction house in Germany.
The German auction house said Saturday an Asian client bought the ocomputer, which Apple's founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak built in a family garage. The computer was purchased together with an original monitor, tape-player and keyboard.
Breker says the computer bears Wozniak's signature. An old business transaction letter from the late Jobs also was included.
Breker added that collectors and Apple-aficionados will have the chance to bid on another of the only 6 surviving functioning models.
