Xiaomi Black Shark Gaming Smartphone Officially Launches in Europe
Black Shark's liquid-cooled gaming phone + gamepad kit is coming to Europe on November 16th, available for purchase via global.blackshark.com.
The Black Shark features powerful hardware and gaming-focused technologies, like the Snapdragon 845 Processor and Adreno 630 GPU. Powered by Pixelworks, the smartphone's dedicated imaging chipset independently processes graphics, with support for DCI-P3. In addition, the intelligent MEMC technology corrects dropped frames, jitters, and blur for a stable 60 FPS in games and videos.
With one flick of a switch, the stock-android interface transforms into a customized gaming hub. Here, you can launch games, view gaming statistics, and more. Memory is instantly cleared for increased performance. By pressing the the Shark Space button again, you return to stock Android.
The Black Shark also boasts dual-stereo speakers and two microphones for high-fidelity sound and recording. A third microphone is hidden in the earpiece to pick up audio while gaming.
A bluetooth-powered precision gamepad is included in the box, while a dedicated imaging chipset independently processes graphics in games and videos. The Black Shark Gamepad adds a control stick and tactile buttons without hindering access to the touch screen. Utilizing Bluetooth technology it’s compact and simple to use.
Besides the gaming features, the smartphone is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with
QuickCharge 3.0 support, and has a 20MP front camera and a 20MP/12MP dual rear camera. It comes with up to 8GB RAM and + 128GB of storage space.
The device is released today in 28 territories throughout Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
It is officially priced at £439 / €499 for a 6GB RAM / 64GB of storage model, going up to £479 / €549 for 8GB / 128GB. For a limited time, however, UK pricing will be £409 / £449 and European prices will be €469 / €519.
