CyberLink announced today that CyberLink Power2Go and PowerBackup - featuring DVD-R (DL) recording utilizing layer jump recording (LJR) technology - now supports MediaTek's optical storage chipsets. Both CyberLink Power2Go and CyberLink PowerBackup are compatible with MediaTek chipsets and support DVD-R (DL) recording that utilizes LJR technology. Different from sequential recording (SR), LJR technology alternates and distributes data evenly between both layers during the burning process. This allow for multi-session burning and also reduces background noise and enhances signal quality.
