Chrome Coming In Android Devices

Chrome Coming In Android Devices

Smartphones Feb 7,2012 0

Gogle today introduced Chrome for Android Beta, which brings many of the popular features of Chrome to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phones or tablets. Like the desktop version, Chrome for Android Beta is focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features easy sign-in and sync so users can take their personalized web browsing experience with them wherever they go, across devices.

Chrome for Android offers fast searching, navigation, browsing and scrolling through web pages. When searching, the top search results are loaded in the background as users type so pages appear instantly. And of course, both search and navigation can all be done quickly from the Chrome omnibox.

Chrome for Android is designed from the ground up for mobile devices. Google reimagined tabs so they fit just as naturally on a small-screen phone as they do on a larger screen tablet. Users can flip or swipe between an unlimited number of tabs using gestures, as if they?re holding a deck of cards in the palm of their hands, each one a new window to the web.

One of the biggest pains of mobile browsing is selecting the correct link out of several on a small-screen device. Link Preview does away with hunting and pecking for links on a web page by automatically zooming in on links to make selecting the precise one easier.

And as with Chrome on desktop, Google built Chrome for Android with privacy in mind from the beginning, including incognito mode for private browsing and privacy options.

By signing in to Chrome on an Android device, users can access the tabs they left open on their computer (also signed into Chrome) - picking up exactly where they left off. They will also get autocomplete suggestios for sites often visited on their computers and also be able to access their favorite sites no matter where they are or which device they're using.

Chrome is now available in Beta from Android Market, in select countries and languages for phones and tablets with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.
