Intel 22nm 'Valley View' Processor Is A Quad-core SoC: Report
A 'leaked' roadmap describes Intel's 22nm Intel "Valley View" chip as a quad-core System-On-Chip (SoC) with an integrated Ivy Bridge graphics core.
According to Sean Hollister of The Verge, the "leaked" Intel slide describes a possible "enrtylevel"and fanless Valley View system with up to four cores, 8GB of RAM and USB 3.0. The leaked presentation also names the SoC as "Balboa Pier" as its likely chipset. Furthermore, a the slide presents a Valley View system with 'up to four times the graphical performance' of previous Atoms, which uses an Imagination Technologies PowerVR graphics rather than in-house technology.
Intel engineer Jesse Barnes' has described ValleyView as "a CedarView-like chip but with an Ivybridge graphics core."
Intel has not commented on the report.
