Shuttle today announced its smallest line of Ultra Small Form Factor (SFF) PC solution: NC02U series. It is designed for a wide range of applications including home, office and digital signage. These ultra-compact barebones support the latest Skylake-U generation of Intel processors.

The NC02U series comes with a selection of processors ranging from Celeron, Core i3, Core i5 to Core i7, supporting up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR3L 1600 RAM, SATA 6Gbps, and USB 3.0 for fast data transfer speeds. This series is the first Shuttle model with USB Type-C.

Compared to NC01U series, the NC02 series uses new mechanism design for easy installation of memory module and storage devices. Users can simply open both upper and lower covers to install RAM, HDD, and other hardware components. Also, this series can install up to 15mm 2.5" HDD to provide more flexible storage capacity with volume restriction.

With one DisplayPort and one HDMI connection, the NC02U series is capable of support dual-screen displays. All NC02U machines with Intel built-in HD graphics engine can deliver 4K/Ultra HD content.

The NC02U series offer plenty of I/O ports in spite of their small size: two USB2.0, two USB3.0 (Type A, Type C), RS232, SD card reader, and Intel® Gigabit LAN interfaces. Built-in two M.2 slots, one (M.2 2230) is pre-install a WiFi card to provide high-speed wireless data transmission. The other (M.2 2280) can install high-speed SSD or other compatible devices for a strong expansion capacity.

The NC02U series is VESA mountable and can be either mounted behind a display panel, placed inconspicuously atop a desktop, even operate within 0-50 degres C ambient environments. This series is 24/7 certified and runs quiet and cool for extended periods of time.
