Pioneer BDR-XS07JL Portable Blu-ray Disc Burner Launching in Japan
Pioneer will release next month in Japan the BDR-XS07JL, a portable, slot-loading BD/DVD/CD burner compatible with Windows and Mac.
Using the Stellanova music player app, users are able to connect their Android smartphones to the BDR-XS07JL via a USB cable and directly import music from an audio CD without using a PC.
The BDR-XS07JL also supports Pioneer's "PureRead4 +" technology to help reproduction of scratched optical discs. The portable drive comes with a USB-3.1 Gen1-compatible Type-C connector, and supports recording and playback of “M-DISC optical media for long-term archiving. Wireless connection of the drive to connect wirelessly to a PC or a mobile device by using Pioneer's APS-WF01J-2 wireless dock (sold seperately.) Other features include Pioneer's “Intelligent Eco Mode” for reduced power consumption as well as the "Advanced Silent Firmware" to reduce operation noise during media playback.
