Dell has announced two new monitors — the Dell 27 Gaming and Dell 27 Curved Gaming — to please the gaming crowd with the promise of high refresh rates, fast response times, and intuitive navigation. 

Dell 27 Curved Gaming S2721HGF

The Dell 27 Curved Gaming S2721HGF is a 27-inch FHD monitor featuring a VA panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The monitor offers a 1500R curvature and a 1 ms Motion Picture Response Time (MPRT) for smooth, immersive gaming. The grey-to-grey (GTG) response time is higher at 4 ms in Extreme Mode. The S2721HGF is an AMD FreeSync Premium monitor that is also certified to be NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. The monitor sports prominent gaming aesthetics with a 3-sided narrow bezel, extra vents at the back for efficient heat dissipation, and comes with a tapered stand that allows for height and tilt adjustment.

Being a VA panel, the Curved Gaming S2721HGF sports a 350 cd/m2 brightness, a native 3000:1 contrast ratio, and covers up to 83% NTSC CIE 1976 color gamut. Available connectors include 2x HDMI 1.4, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone jack. OSD navigation is made possible via joystick and shortcut buttons at the back of the monitor. Menu features include timer, FPS counter, and Dark Stabilizer. 

The Dell 27 Curved Gaming S2721HGF will be available in China on July 17 and worldwide on August 21 for US$279.99.

Dell 27 Gaming Monitor S2721DGF

The Dell 27 Gaming Monitor S2721DGF is a 27-inch QHD IPS panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Like its curved cousin, the S2721DGF is also an AMD FreeSync Premium display that is certified to be NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. The S2721DGF offers 98% DCI-P3 coverage and supports DisplayHDR 400. A wide range of connectivity options are present including 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 4x USB 3.0 downstream, 1x USB 3.0 upstream, a headphone jack, and an audio line-out jack.

The S2721DGF is also brighter than the curved variant at 400 cd/m2 and offers a true 1 ms GTG response time. The included stand allows for adjusting height, tilt, swivel and pivot for added comfort during extended gaming sessions. The navigation controls and menu features are similar to that of the curved variant.

The Dell 27 Gaming Monitor S2721DGF will be available worldwide on July 28 for US$569.99.
