Asus has produced a fantastic board in the Asus P5N-E SLI. it is a board that performs as good as anything else out their in our testing, but goes way beyond anything we have seen yet in the area of overclocking. If you are looking for a great enthusiast board, with very little headaches to setup and overclock well, and you do not want to mortgage the house for the 680i series, this board is it...

So in all, for a pure gaming PC it offers a great performing, stable option for people looking for a machine based around socket AM2 with support for SLI. For a workstation PC that can take some hardcore I/O, it doesn't fair so good, but then again, it isn't marketed to do that. Some people have complained that the Asus Republic of Gamers series boards are just a licence to charge more, and that the cost is excessive. There's no doubting this board is one of the more expensive socket AM2 motherboards based on the same chipset, but you do get a lot more for your money in terms of quirky features. Despite only slightly better overclocking, if those extra features appeal to you than the Asus Crosshair is a good choice.

The ASUS P5B Deluxe supports Intel's latest Core 2 processors as well as being backwards compatible with the Pentium and Celeron series. This motherboard also features an eight-phase power design, fan-less motherboard cooling, and many more ASUS innovations.

ASUS's first P965 board we tested, the P5B Deluxe, while able to keep up on the onboard features, it certainly isn't able to keep up when it comes down to the crunch in the overclocking front. ASUS fall behind by nearly 80MHz in the FSB department, and with the latest BIOS from Gigabyte, there is even more speed coming from the DQ6, as it keeps surprising us. ASUS to this point has decided rather than relinquish the performance/overclocking crown to its partner, they have decided to bring out a board that is designed to overclock from the word go.

The ASUS WL-700gE isn't just another wireless router to base your home network on. It is a multifunctional device with media, storage and file sharing capabilities. With the WL-700gE, you don't need a separate NAS or media server and BitTorrent junkies can finally let their PCs rest. Sounds interesting? It is!

ASUS isn't just known for its fantastic motherboards and bare-bones laptops. It also produces a series of wireless devices, most notably the WL-500G, an 802.11g-compliant wireless router that has a built-in USB port. The router can be combined with an external hard drive to set up a file server, or a printer to set up a print server. The WL-500W, the subject of this review, is the WL-500G's big brother. It is a pre-N router, meaning it supports the most current draft specifications of 802.11n as of its manufacture date and firmware revision. Read on for a investigative review.

The ASUS Striker Extreme scores perfect marks in all categories as one of the most complete and robust boards we've come to test, leaving almost nothing to be desired. However, its price is beyond what some might consider reasonable. Well, at least you get to dream about it.

Believe it or not, the term 'consumer' does not describe every PC user in the home. A new trend emerges as the term 'prosumer' is created to accommodate this change -- usually referring to computer enthusiasts who want something beyond the features and characteristics of even a relatively high end consumer product. So, how about it -- a workstation motherboard for the home? With four PCIe slots and a truckload of other features built on Intel's i975X chipset, the Asus P5W64-WS Professional "Wall Street Quartet" motherboard is definitely a very interesting product. The evoked sense of performance, stability, and features just seems to be overwhelming. Let's see how well and what this board can deliver.

While NVIDIA has already introduced their G80 8800GTX, after several delays the ATI/AMD camp still has not delivered their next-generation graphics processor: the R600 GPU. While the R600 remains behind closed doors the X1950 remains the fastest Radeon series available. Among the products in the X1950 family is the X1950 CrossFire, X1950PRO, X1950XT, and X1950XTX. What we are looking at today is the X1950PRO, which for this article is coming from ASUS. The ASUS EAX1950PRO offers 256MB of GDDR3, HDCP support, heatpipe-based GPU heatsink, and many more ASUS innovations. With the supportive Linux drivers not coming out till later this month, this is the world's first look at X1950 series under alternative operating systems.

The EAX1650XT is not meant for the high-end of the market, and should be compared performance and feature-wise to similarly price cards. The features of the X1650XT are excellent, with full support for Pixel and Vertex Shader 3.0 programs and HDR. In terms of performance, the card outperforms its intended competition, the 7600GT by goodly margins, but the market doesn't stand still and the 7900GS is much closer in price to the EAX1650XT card making it harder to choose the best value on this price point. As such I can easily give the card a Silver Gamers' Choice award.

All in all, the Asus P5NSLI provides a good base for a solid gaming platform with Nvidia's SLI and First Pocket technologies. On the flip side, overclockers may need to look else where for the ultimate tweaking board.

Stock coolers do the job for stock speeds. If you want to overclock and keep the temperatures down, then you need to look for a decent HSF unit such as this one by ASUS that we look at today. Installation was easy and barely took five minutes on an LGA775 board while it took less than a minute to install it on a Socket 939 motherboard.

The 7900GT generally caught onto a lot of bad press thanks to the extremely high failure rate from some companies who simply offered too much of an overclock. Cards died from anywhere between one week to three months but on particular brands the failure rate was consistent enough that you couldn't put it down to a bit of bad luck. With the bad press it made sense that nVidia would want to do a bit of a rehash with the highly popular card. The 7900GT became discontinued and the 7950GT took its place, it is actually the highest spec card in the GeForce 7 series line up now with both the 7950GX2 and 7900GTX being also discontinued. If you're after a high-end card and don?t have the bucks to spend on the GeForce 8800 series, this is your only option from nVidia.

Better late than never they say. Ever since Nvidia launched the GeForce 7 series ATI has been playing catch up, and it wasn't until late this year that they finally caught up. The new Radeon X1950 Pro is a reasonably powerful alternative that is designed to compete with the GeForce 7900GS in the $200 price bracket. The good news is, the Radeon X1950 Pro is faster, if only by a small margin, but faster. Today we will be taking a close look to the ASUS Extreme AX1950Pro which is an actual retail product that strays somewhat from the typical ATI reference design. There are many ways in which manufacturers can add more value to their particular graphics card offerings. The ASUS Extreme AX1950Pro is a serious Radeon X1950 Pro contender, offering slightly overclocked core and memory frequencies along with an improved cooling solution.
