Today we have the opportunity to review the continued evolution of this unique design in the form of the BFG EX-1200 Watt power supply. Unlike the ES 800 before it, this power supply is definitely not shy on the latest features and power capacity. It boasts modular cabling, six PCI-E cables, a whopping 40 amps available on each of the 12V rails and something called frequency conversion technology to improve efficiency at lower loads.

Today we put BFG's GeForce GTX 285 OCX under the microscope. We already know what Nvidia's new flagship single-GPU (not to be confused with its dual-GPU single videocard) solution brings to the table, and BFG looks to up the ante by overclocking its card beyond the reference design. Not only that, but BFG's OCX model currently ranks as the fastest-clocked GTX 285 on the market. Combined with the company's lifetime warranty, this would appear to be a slam dunk right from the tip-off, but even the favotires have a tendency to falter. Does BFG have game? Let's find out.

Last week I took the BFG Tech MX 680w Power Supply out for a spin, which earned our Seal of Approval based on several different criteria. The unit was rock solid stable, silent, modular and would look great in most any system. But for the user on a budget or those not into hardcore gaming, the 680 watts offered is simply overkill. If you fall into this category, have no fear, as BFG Tech has something right up your alley, the MX 550w PSU. Virtually identical to its 680w bigger brother, the 550 unit we have on the test bench today is about $25 cheaper, money that could be put towards other hardware or simply stashed away for a rainy day. Will the smaller MX 550w be able to follow in the footsteps of the beefier 680 model?

BFG Tech has ticked most of the boxes on our checklist with its GeForce GTX 285 OCX graphics card - its clock speed increases are impressive, there's still headroom for overclocking, performance is excellent, the after sales service has a proven track record and it's the fastest single GPU graphics card we've ever tested. But all of this comes at a price and sadly that cost is just too much when you look at the wider market in the UK.

BFG Technologies is a proverbial newcomer to the power supply market, although their claim to fame began in 2001 with their highly successful line of video cards. Since then, they have expanded to include motherboards, power supplies and even full systems. Today we will be taking a look at one of their modular power supplies, the BFG Tech MX 680w Modular PSU. The MX Series represents the modular version of the LS series which we took at look at last year.

We are writing to let you all know that we have just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the features and performance of the BFG GeForce 9600 GT OCX with Thermointelligence cooling. The BFG GeForce 9600 GT OCX takes mid-range graphics up a few notches by cranking up both the memory and GPU clock speeds over NVIDIA's GeForce 9600 GT reference spec, while coupling a potent cooling solution with intelligent temperature management for maximum stability and performance. Head on over to the site and check it out...

Things continue to advance in the video card area and we find them requiring less and less wattage realistically. So, smaller, more efficient wattage power supplies are all the rage and everyone wants more power for their money. One PSU that could very well be your next investment is the BFG LS-680 Power Supply. As the model number denotes, it offers at least a solid 680 Watts with four 12V rails. Let's open this PSU and see what it can do.

BFG Technologies is a relative new-comer to the power supply market, hoping to toss its chips into the pot with its rock solid name in NVIDIA-based graphics cards as its ante. The LS series is the mid-range in BFG's current hand and, despite the lack of an 80PLUS certification, it certainly seems to be an excellent power supply to have. ThinkComputers peeks at the BFG LS 680W in this review.

Illinois-based BFG Technologies is a relative newcomer to the power supply arena, for years being one of the top manufacturers of NVIDIA-based graphics cards. However, its' ES-the top-of-the-line enthusiast model-has features sure to assuage the fears of any skeptical consumer. A new "frequency conversion" technology, a lifetime warranty, and incredible stability are the major benefits of the 800W PSU. ThinkComputers looks at the ES more in depth in this review.

The GeForce GTX 280 is undeniably the top performing single GPU product on the market and currently it is priced very competitively which makes even the highest specification models a very attractive purchase. One such card is BFGs OCX model featuring some of the most attractive clockspeeds available at the time of writing. Today we have one of these cards on our test bench and will be comparing it to a reference model in a selection of the latest games as well as running it through some high definition playback tests, we will even throw in a few compares to the GTX 260 for those having trouble deciding which card best suits them.
