This phone is made to withstand extreme temperatures, drops, water, shock, vibration, dust, altitude and even solar radiation. This is one tough phone, but it?s more than just rugged, it works well, it has decent battery life and good call quality. This a phone for people who like to work and play rough and like to take things to the extreme. With the Exilim EX-S880, Casio once again proves that it is a force to be reckoned with in the digital camera market. Although it is competing with some very impressive products from other manufacturers, there are few that can match its combination of ultra-compact size, excellent build quality, striking design, crisp performance, superior image quality and fantastic value for money. If you're looking for a pocket compact the S880 should be near the top of your list.

The Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 is a technological marvel, a pocket-sized compact camera packed with advanced features and useful creative options. It has superior build quality, good handling and class-leading performance, and decent image quality. The only real question is whether you feel it's worth paying a significant premium for a trivial increase in image resolution.

Considering that price, it's hard to believe just how good the EX-Z75 actually is. For starters it's a great looking camera. It has an all-aluminium body finished in an attractive brushed texture, with a polished bezel around the lens. As well as the silver version seen here it's also available in black, blue or pink.

It's pretty much an accepted axiom that if you want a stylish ultra-compact camera, you're going to be limited to a 3x zoom lens. The corollary of course it that if you want a longer zoom range you'll end up with a much more bulky camera. There are a few cameras such as the Ricoh Caplio R6 and Panasonic Lumix TZ3 which provide wider than average zoom range in a relatively compact shape, and there are one or two fairly small 4x or 5x zoom compacts available, such as the Canon IXUS 800 IS or the Sony Cyber-shot T100 (review coming next week), but on the whole it is true that most small cameras tend to have small lenses.

The latest model in the ultra-slim Exilim S-series, the EX-S770, is a good case in point. It is a high-spec 7.2-megapixel ultra-compact with an f/2.7 - f/5.2, 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.8-in wide-format LCD monitor which with 230,400 pixels is one of the sharpest on the market. It has a strong all-metal body available in three different colours, and in terms of build quality and design it is a match for anything from the more popular brands.

Casio Exilim EX-S600, is a mid-range 6.0 megapixel camera for those who want some serious photography power without stepping up to an SLR. Some highlights of the EX-S600 include an anti-shake feature, gorgeous movie recording in MPEG4, and extended battery life that lets you get great shots without the hassle of having to recharge the battery. With a $350 price tag, this camera isn't in everyone's budget, but it won't make you take out a second mortgage either...

The EX-Z500 is a very slim and compact camera, similar in overall style to Pentax's Optio S range. Previous Casio compacts had made use of Pentax's innovative Sliding Lens System, allowing them to be among the slimmest digital cameras on the market, but the Z500 appears to have a completely new lens. It is similar in design and appearance to the Pentax system, but it is physically smaller, giving the camera a thickness of just 20.5mm...

The Casio TV Remote wristwatch really works technically and Casio did a good job making it usable, but I am not convinced about the usefulness of it. It is more a "Gag Gadget". It's 80 retro look of course could appeal to some. And hey, maybe you do need a calculator on your wrist...

A little on the expensive side for a 5MP camera, but the impressive stills performance, easily accessible creative features and some outstanding and unique movie modes - including stereo sound - make the Exilim EX-P505 a unique and appealing model for the more advanced user. It manages to fit in more features than most cameras twice its size...
