Corsair has ventured even further away from their home range landing in the middle of Power Supply territory. Their initial offering's are well constructed and feature one of the best modular cable systems seen to date. Today we have the opportunity to test their CMPSU-620HX modular PSU.

Once every couple of years a product comes along which can be called revolutionary, and has the ability to upset the market. Corsair brought to the market an entirely new line of memory products, called the Dominator series, with exactly this purpose in mind: dominate the high end memory market. In this review we'll try to find out what sets apart this memory, and if it really can be called revolutionary.

Overclocked, these modules can run up to 1162MHz (DDR2-1162) or better even at default voltages. If synchronicity is what you're aiming for to experience the full potential of your system, then look no further. At these speeds, you have just turned your PC2-8500 investment into PC2-9300 modules.

Large storage capacities, portability, and user friendly designs have aided in the wide acceptance of USB Flash drives among computer users. The Corsair Flash Readout USB drive takes the benefits of USB Flash drives one step further by featuring a Bi-Stable Cholesteric Display (BCD) showing data usage, availability and allowing for an 11 character alphanumeric personalized ID or labeling. The Corsair Flash Readout is available at an estimated retail price of $39.99 and is backed by a 10 year warranty.

Recently we took a look at the HP-550 from Mushkin. It was one of the first power supplies that Mushkin has released. Following the trend of memory companies jumping into the power supply market Corsair has just released the HX620 Modular Power Supply. The 620 indicates that it is a 620W power supply, which is aimed at the hardcore and enthusiast crowd. The HX620 features an active PFC, double forward switching circuitry, triple 12V rails, and a modular design. We will see if Corsair can make a successful jump into the power supply market.

The modular design isn?t a new concept, but I think that the folks at Corsair actually listened to reviewers and did everything they could to make certain they did it right. The great flexibility offered with the included cabling shows they know that every machine is different, but that they can make sure their power supply is right for you. Another huge plus is the automatic adjustment of power levels across the 12v rail. If you happen to be running an older Athlon XP system, this won?t have a whole lot of merit for you, but anything running Athlon 64 and newer (including Intel rigs) needs a solid 12v rail to maximize stability.

he DOMINATOR TWIN2X2048-8888C4DF memory kit that we have reviewed today is by far the fastest production memory available from any company. Corsair has raised the bar when it comes to performance memory. Not only did they increase the frequency of their flagship part they also lowered the timings and temperatures at which the modules operate. To make things better they have room to overclock. Being able to hit 1.2GHz at default voltages with C4 timings is very impressive. If you want to have the ultimate memory kit for your dream machine the answer is simple - Corsair PC2-8888 modules are what you need...

Corsair's 1GB Twin2X1024-8500 C5 DDR-2 memory kit is squarely designed for the enthusiast at heart. With the ability to run at 1066 MHz by default, the Twin2X1024-8500 memory is the definition of fast. To reach this speed though, Corsair recommends a voltage of 2.2V which is pretty high, better to have good case cooling 'cause this memory generates a fair amount of heat.

Corsair HX620w is a decent power supply package. You can obtain a quality, and powerful power supply with the addition of modular cables. I would've liked to see just the single 20/24-pin being hard-wired to the unit and have the option of attaching the 8-pin and 4-pin as needed.

The Corsair was relatively more solid, with neither 12V rail blinking when asked to pump juice to our hungry components. We were particularly impressed with the performance of the PCI-Express 12V rail which didn't so much as waiver, despite the graphics work our hot CrossFire cards were doing.

Recently a plane flew over HEXUS.towers, dropping a package for us. We were being dominated, or were we the ones that would be doing the Dominating? Join us as we give Corsair's fastest ever memory modules a workout, analysing performance, overclocking and of course, the new cooling solution.

In case you missed it on Monday Corsair Memory unveiled the latest innovation in high performance module design, Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology. From the outside it looks like Corsair changed their heat spreader, but it's a bit more complex than a minor heat spreader switch!

The Corsair TWIN2X-8500 is a strong performer at both high frequency and low latencies. Basically, depending on your needs, the ram can easily switch between the two options. To be truthful, the main market for this memory is going to be users with 1066MHz CPUs so that they can run their memory 1:1. That said, I think overall you'll see better numbers if you can tighten the timings at the expense of a slightly lower clock speed. In other words, if you're the owner of an Athlon AM2 or any 800MHz FSB Pentium CPU, you're much better off opting for a low latency DDR2 kit. However, if a 1066FSB CPU is in your future, it may be worthwhile keeping an eye out for the TWIN2X-8500 since it can be ran at lower frequencies if you need to.

The CM2X1024 6400C3 was supplied as a 2GB kit with a matched pair of 1GB DIMMs. Corsair claims theses modules are 100% tested as a pair at 3-4-3-9 timings at 2.2V. The DIMMs feature black heatspreaders and distinctive purple and yellow XMS2 packaging. Product information shows the 6400C3 only available as a 2GB kit; the Corsair web site does not list a 1GB kit with similar performance. OCZ Ti Alpha PC2-8000 VX2 DIMMs were a 2GB kit composed of two 1GB DIMMs rated at DDR2-1000. DIMMs have a really unique rainbow colored XTC heatspreader. Ti Alpha VX2 is available only as a 2GB kit or as individual 1GB DIMMs. Ti Alpha is also available as a low latency DDR2-800 kit without the VX2 designation.
