"Over the years many computer users have migrated away from desktop systems to laptops and netbooks as the price on portable machines has gone down. That doesn't mean there isn?t a market for desktops, it just means the desktop market has shrunk over the years.
Today I am looking at the first AIO machine that has come across my desk. The AIO is the Gateway ZX4800-06. If you don't want a notebook, but you are tired of looking at that tower under or beside your desk, the Gateway ZX4800-06 might be a good option. Read on to find out how well the machine performs."

The FX6831-03 on our test bed today features an Intel Core i7 860 processor operating at 2.8 GHz (up to 3.46 GHz with Turbo Boost), a whopping 16GB of DDR3 memory, 1.5 TB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive and an ATI Radeon HD 5850 graphics card with 1 GB of onboard memory.
Priced at around $1,650, the Gateway FX6831-03 is aimed at those who want a very capable gaming system that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It is more of a "budget" system in the larger arena of gaming rigs, which can cost you upwards of $5,000, but its hardware should be able to deliver enough performance to handle any game you throw at it with little effort. Read on as we put this system through its paces and explore its features inside and out.

"It's always nice to have a change of pace and today I am looking at a new ultraportable notebook from Gateway. The machine looks like a netbook at first glance, but has notebook hardware crammed inside the small chassis. The small size makes the machine very portable and it feels like a netbook in the hand.
Once you fire the machine up, the performance lets you know this is no Atom-powered rig for sure. The little Gateway EC14D07u has average looks and will be a welcome machine for any business user or student that needs a small notebook to take with them on the road that offers decent performance and battery life."

"Windows 7 has arrived - and brought with it a slew of all-in-one computers riding on its bevvy of new touch-savvy features. Gateway's One ZX Series offers a 20-inch screen coupled with modest-but-capable hardware starting from $720, or a more spacious 23-inch screen driven by hardware that wouldn't look out of place on a gaming machine, for $1400, along with several options in between."

Notebooks are more popular than ever, and the vast selection is incredible. There's a notebook for everyone, and in the case of Gateway's T-6836, if you are looking for something in between a netbook and a $1,000 model - you are covered. It carries certain downsides, but still packs enough performance and features to make the $800 retail price feel well-worth it.

While there are quite a few manufacturers building GeForce 8800M equipped notebooks, almost all of them are high-end products that demand top dollar for the pleasure. Gateway's "P-Series FX" line-up of 17" gaming notebooks seems no different at first glance. However, careful inspection of their product specifications reveals that the most junior P-Series FX model weighs in at just $1,349.99, a decidedly mid-range price point for this type of machine. Yet it's still powered by a GeForce 8800M, just like the rest of the otherwise high-end FX notebook line-up. This GPU choice alone potentially makes the junior P-Series FX model one of the best gaming and multimedia machines in the entire mid-range notebook price segment, so we couldn't resist taking a closer look. Come on by the site and check it out...

Usually the words "gaming" and "budget-oriented" combine in the PC world about as well as oil and water, but that's not the case with Gateway's remarkable P-6860FX notebook, which is a truly great gaming notebook with an amazingly low price tag. This GeForce 8800-powered behemoth costs just $1,349 but is far from a stripped-down, bare-bones notebook. It's loaded with features and expansion ports and has lots of storage as well as 4GB of RAM. The only real compromise is its 1.83GHz processor, but that's not too egregious of a violation given its otherwise compelling specs.

Today we are checking out one very nice convertible tablet notebook from Gateway called the Gateway C-141x. This notebook retails for under $1000 and has great performance as a tablet and a notebook. Overall, the Gateway C-141X is a great tablet convertible that works equally well as a tablet and as a notebook. The bargain price of the machine makes up for its general large size and heavy weight making it a great option in the sub-$1000 category.

Today we are looking at the Gateway P172X FX gaming notebook. This machine retails for $1,999 and gets graphics in the form of NVIDIA 8800M GTS. The entire machine is very heavy, not something you will want to carry in a backpack all day for sure. However, if what you are after is a gaming machine that is portable and can be taken to and from the LAN party much easier than a full desktop the Gateway P172X FX is a fantastic option. The price for the Gateway P172X FX is $1,999.

Gateway, not content to let Dell and others hog the limelight in the display market, have recently launched their XHD3000 monitor. It offers a wide-range of connectivity options along with bright picture and an incredible upscaler. When said and done, this is one model we can heartily recommend.

As technology moves forward at a breakneck pace and as more individuals take on pro-level photography and video editing tasks, the need for larger LCD monitors with higher screen resolutions increases. Gateway has been relatively quiet on this front: A few releases here and there between R&D whitespace, then out of nowhere they deliver a gargantuan LCD with some of the most impressive stats seen in years. The Gateway Extreme HD 1600p 30" LCD, or XHD3000, is a high-def dream, boasting multiple inputs, a one-trillion-operations-per-second video processor, Picture in Picture and a lot more. Read all about this stunning LCD and decide if it's right for you.

With introduction of Windows Vista early this year, we are seeing more laptops being offered at prices lower than ever. The not so favorable Vista sales may have something to do with it. We have the chance to take a deeper look into one from Gateway, the MT3705. It offers Intel Dual Core at 1.6 GHz, yet it does not carry the Core 2 Duo name. Intel calls it "Pentium Dual Core T2060" without any information from Intel Website. This processor is being sold by many brand names aimed at mass market.
