The Gigabyte 3D Aurora case combines several great features into an attractive whole. Solid workmanship, huge drive capacity and convenient and rapid tool-less installation are all characteristics of the case which we liked. It's a good size too, not cramped but not huge and overwhelming either. The fact that Gigabyte prepared the case for water cooling out of the factory speaks volumes about their target market for this case...

VIA may have become the underdogs in the chipset race, but we find out that the old dog still has some bite in it. Gigabyte's GA-K8VT890-9 based on the K8T890 lacks advanced features, but you can be sure of a bang-for-buck performance little else can match...

Not everyone can buy or want to use the faster GeForce 6800 series. For them, the GeForce 6600GT is the way to go. Gigabyte sent us a sample of their NX66T128VP - the GeForce 6600GT with Zalman cooling. Naturally, we put this graphic card to the test and discover not only does it offer the same features of the reference GeForce 6600GT, but runs silent and runs faster! If you're looking for a graphics card to built your SFF PC, this card is defnitely worth looking at!

The Gigabyte GA-8I945P Dual Graphic was simply put, a very attractive board. It had the just right amount of features to cater to most consumer needs with its Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 1394b, 8-channel HD audio and its well-rounded storage capabilities. Gigabyte's Dual Graphic Link and Quad View technologies bring the ability to install two graphic cards and up to four display output, increasing work productivity and making games more immersive. As you'd have expected, the board also comes with Gigabyte's established set of technologies to help users get the most out of the motherboard...

For those who have firmly made their choice from the very beginning to build a system with SLI performance, ASUS and Gigabyte offer unique high performance single-board SLI configurations for those who would like to own something different from the norm. We've seen what the ASUS is capable of in our previous review, but Gigabyte just upped the stakes with its own dual GeForce 6800 GT SLI single-board product, the GV-3D1-68GT. With a physically smaller frame, faster clock speeds and the first single-board SLI card to offer full quad-display support, it looked like Gigabyte had a winner in their hands...

The G-Power Pro is a good Heatsink. No doubt here in my testing of it. Although you'll have to look elsewhere to find tests of this HSF on other platforms. I tend to stay away from reviews of the product that I'm reviewing to stay objective. While my qualms shouldn't go unnoticed, there are better HSF's out there. And of course, there are worse. At around $45 bucks or so at this time of writing, the G-Power Pro isn't the top of the heap, but it fits nicely into a perceived niche' of HSF's...

The installation went well, with no Significant issues to be noted. One nice thing about this card is the lack of a power source; No extra molex is needed to run this particular card. This minimizes messy wires for that neat freak. Now some may think this card is large, and depending on your motherboard layout you may have space issues. The card comes very close to the heat-sink fan on my Asus P5WD2-Premium. It may be close, but it did not pose a problem...

Gigabyte's GV-NX78X256V-B is a good soldier that follows orders, in this case, the standard design as specified by NVIDIA. There is no pre-overclocking but as we have said earlier, overclocking is not too hard for the technically inclined. However, compared with its rivals who do endorse overclocking, there is a significant distinction. Cards from Leadtek, MSI and ASUS, just to name a few, have provisions for overclocking (e.g. MSI's D.O.T utility, Leadtek's BIOS update to enable higher default clock speeds). This also means that the vendors will cover the end-users against defects resulting from the endorsed overclocking...

What makes this case special is when you open it up. The first thing you notice is that there's plenty of open space inside the case, which makes it very easy to fit all the components inside it. The next thing you notice are the dual 120mm rear case fans - a first as far as I know. A front 120mm fan has also been fitted to cool the hard drive bays. All the fans have built in blue LEDs that match the blue lit front of the case, but more on that later. If you worry about sonics you'll be happy to know that all of the fans are very low speed - a mere 1,000rpm - and produce a minimal amount of noise...
