SOYO is a brand name best known as a manufacturer of designer motherboards, but they also have an impressive line of consumer electronics and computer peripherals. Their Honeywell Consumer Electronic line is considered the best of their lineup. So when SOYO announced their new Honeywell Airlite 700 Wireless Bluetooth Headset, shown in Figure 1, at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2008, it peaked a lot of interest. The headset featuring Bluetooth 2.0 and Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) technology, was touted as a "smaller, lighter, and more comfortable headset with crystal clear sound". We tested to see if it delivered on these promises.

Honeywell is brand new to the LCD monitor industry, which is why they called upon the expertise of SOYO. After making giant waves in the market with their 24-Inch DYLM24D6 ultra-affordable widescreen LCD, SOYO was put to work building an up-scale version with premium features. The end result of their work became the Honeywell Arius product line, which features an integrated webcam, microphone, speakers, and USB ports. The Honeywell Arius MT-SY-HWLM2216 22-Inch WSXGA+ widescreen LCD monitor boasts a quick 2ms response time. Benchmark Reviews has be fortunate enough to test this monitor in our labs, and we find out just how well it performs for hardcore gamers and casual PC users alike.

The HWLM2216 is a 22" LCD monitor that uses standard cathode type backlighting. I'm sure we will see an update sooner or later that will include LED lighting instead, but a regular cathode is tried and true technology. They last long enough that you will be buying a new monitor rather than replacing a backlight. Since it is a 22", the resolution is 1680x1050 which is the standard 16x10 resolution found on computer monitors. This resolution is big enough to contain a great deal of information and keep the readability. The top of the monitor also contains the discreet 1.3MP webcam. This is probably the reason that the monitor contains 3 USB ports instead of the more traditional four. The microphone is located on the bottom right.
