At first glance the Cisco media hub appears to be just another NAS device like so many on the market, however as the name suggests this is aimed mainly at the media market with the focus on delivering music or video based files to other devices.

Less than a year ago, these security products commanded top dollar prices and targeted large businesses with deep pockets but Linksys' compact RVL-200 aims to deliver an SSL-VPN solution at a remarkably low price.

Not only does the Linksys WVC200 stand out for it distinctive design but it's also the lowest cost PTZ camera we've yet seen. Despite the prevalence of broadband there are times or circumstances where it is simply not possible to have an ADSL or cable connection and with today?s bandwidth hungry users the humble POTS modem is no longer a worthy option. Enter the Linksys Wireless-G Router for 3G/UMTS, which is a standard broadband router that accepts a Vodafone 3G/UTMS PC Card, enabling it to deliver Internet access from anywhere there is a nearby power socket and Vodafone network coverage.

The ADSL Gateway is a very compact slab of plastic with a couple of fixed and very bendy aerials at the rear. The chassis doesn't have any cooling vents but we found it only warm to the touch after running for a couple of days. It incorporates a standard four-port Fast Ethernet switch and integral ADSL modem and augments these with an 802.11b/g wireless access point...

The Linksys WRT54G appears to be really packed with many powerful features. This is clearly reflected in the number of options in its configuration utility. Imagine this - there is a total of 21 pages of settings, separated into 6 sections! You can control when and for how long each PC is given access to the Internet. You can also control the amount of bandwidth allocated to each device or LAN port! If you like, the router can filter out specific websites domains or all websites with certain keywords. This router certainly comes with a lot of features to play with.
