Ultimately, the MSI Megaview 561 is a fairly well executed device, with some great design features and a multitude of capabilities.Throughout our testing we found the interface extremely simple and intuitive to use. If you want to view movies, television shows, video clips or listen to music on the go then the MSI Megaview 561 is a great choice. It handles a multitude of formats, can record from TV, radio and other A/V sources and is small enough to carry with you everywhere.

As far as performance is concerned, the pair of MSI NX6600 Diamond graphics cards achieved results to our expectations and has definitely carved itself a unique performance category wedged between a standard GeForce 6600 and a GeForce 6600 GT. For the time being, these cards have no known rivals, but it remains to be seen if other vendors might capitalize this segment just as MSI has accomplished with the Diamond edition.

...the addition of the extra ram dividers was more than welcome, and gave us even more options for tweaking and finding that "sweet spot" for our rig. Reaching an astounding 400HTT was pretty sweet also! After working with the board, I can only say that MSI left me with a pretty satisfied that my money was well spent on a solid board that overclocked well and was stable. Kudos to MSI on their NF4 Ultra board!

At the top is a single x1 PCI Express slot, then a x16 PCI-E graphics slot, and then an AGP 3.0 slot with retention device. Below that are three regular PCI slots. MSI has realised that every PCI Express motherboard will only have two or three PCI slots, and that leaves a fair chunk of system resources free for what it terms an Accelerated Graphics Riser, or AGR. The AGR is effectively identical to an AGP 3.0 slot except that it has a significantly slower connection speed than AGP, so even though MSI has published a list of compatible graphics cards which includes a WinFast 6800GT and ATi Radeon 9700, it's only part of the story.

The K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI has all the regular NF4-SLI goodness as well as a whole host of nice integrated features that we can certainly appreciate. Standard equipment includes an additional Serial ATA II/RAID Silicon Image Sil3132 controller, IEEE 1394, a Sound Blaster Live! 7.1 hardware audio controller and two Gigabit NICs - there are also two PCI Express x16 slots just waiting for SLI compatible cards.

We just finished looking at the new MSI NX6600GT-TD128E and boy what a videocard it is. Even with a single card, performance is quite good and it should be more than enough for the average gamer. Hardcore users who are on a budget will definitely love the performance of two NX6600GT-TD128Es running in SLI mode side-by-side. In applications that support the SLI feature, framerates often increase up to 50%! While not every game can take advantage of SLI, nVidia's upcoming driver set will reportedly allow you to create your own custom SLI profiles.

The MSI K8N Diamond doesn't come cheap, but you wouldn't expect it to, with such a wide range of excellent features on offer. This is a great motherboard for the gaming enthusiast - just make sure that you have enough cash left over for those graphics cards.

The real jewel in the crown for this board, assuming it is indicative of these boards as a whole, is overclockability. If the price is right, then this part could become something of a darling for those looking for a bargain in the mid-range video card sector - A board cheaper than a 6600GT but overclockable to beyond 6600GT clocks would be coveted much like the GeForce 6800GT has been at the high-end.

As a single board in isolation, MSI's 6600 GT makes a great case for itself. A fantastic software bundle, component video out for use with HDTV sets in the main, and quiet cooler round off a great product that I could only think to improve with the inclusion of dual DVI ports instead of analogue VGA and DVI, which other 6600 GT vendors are happy to specify.
