The NEC MultiSync LCD3090WQXi is an amazing screen that not only fits the bill for professionals, but will also appeal to those of us that want stunning image quality, a whole host of features and acres of desktop real estate. Of course, the price will undoubtedly put a lot of people off this screen, but I tell you, if I had £1,500 burning a hole in my pocket I know where I'd be spending it. Yes, it's expensive, but then so is a Ferrari F430 Scuderia - it's all about getting what you pay for.

On the whole then, the NEC AccuSync LCD24WMCX has its share of problems with precise editing of photos taken in a photo studio, but it was never intended for that usage model - NEC has a whole host of displays that deliver colour accuracy far and above this particular screen. And for most usage models - especially gaming and movie playback in particular - the LCD24WMCX will be more than adequate.

The TV is capable of being used for HDTV and can play Blu-ray or HD DVD movies thanks to HDCP capability. However, the lack of multiple HD inputs limits the usability yin a home theater setting without resorting to HDMI switches. The lack of internal speakers could be an issue for some users, however most home theater owners buying a 60-inch plasma will likely already have a speaker system in place.

A very average screen in every sense in terms of design and image quality, that's actually more expensive than then the NEC's 22in version and much so than the rest of competition. If you want to standardise on 20in screens in an office environment then it will do the job, but otherwise it's a disappointment for the price.

In sheer performance terms, the 50XR6 is a revelation for NEC, clearly benefiting in spades from the brand's new Pioneer connection. And thanks to some recent and rampant price cutting online, it's also remarkably good value by NEC standards. The greater domestication and feature sophistication of rival 50in models like the full HD Samsung PS-50P96FD (reviewed only last week) and Panasonic's terrific HD Ready 50PX70 (now selling for under £1200 in some quarters) might still ultimately divert your attention away from this new, improved NEC effort. But the fact that it is now seriously even competing with such big consumer electronics names is something NEC should rightly be proud of.

NEC monitors may be thick from the side, but they're certainly not stupid. NEC delivers another master class in vibrancy, colour accuracy and viewing angles, making this a fine choice for office or photographic work. Grumbles such as its lack of HDMI or component, and some minor other issues, mean it's not ideal for the gamer, though the price would probably be enough to put them off.

The NEC Versa L2100 has a fine balance of performance and looks, thanks to its leather cover, black interior, and Windows Vista OS.

Overall, the NEC 24" MultiSync LCD2470WNX is a very good LCD display that performs well in a variety of situations from movie watching to gaming and general computer use. The only thing I wished for that the NEC 24" MultiSync LCD2470WNX didn't have was a second DVI input.

It's been some time since Dell released its first 24in display, which broke new ground for being a 24in screen that was actually affordable and established 1,920 x 1,200 as a resolution to be aspired to. NEC is rather late to the 24in party and so has decided to go a little better and release a 26in isplay. It has a 24in unit too but the LCD2690WUXi is certainly the daddy, stuffed with almost every bit of technology that NEC could throw at it.

In case it?s not clear enough by now, I really love this monitor. I?ve been around the block when it comes to different monitor formats, and the 20W is bar none the best one I?ve ever used. It just hits everything right on the mark, from its superior screen resolution to the absolutely overwhelming amount of home entertainment features. If you?ve got the money and you log in any sort of significant time with movies or games on your computer, this monitor is for you.

If that bloke who made Supersize Me had only made it about TVs instead of McDonald's meals, he?d surely have ended up a heck of a lot happier and healthier. For there can be few more rewarding sights in a hardworking technology journalist's tough life than being faced with a flat TV which, like NEC's 61XR4G, stretches out across more than 60in of his living room wall. Sweet.

The screen?s stylish design gets you thinking that NEC has definitely made the 61XR4G with home rather than business users in mind. And indeed, the screen resides in the ?residential? section of NEC?s website. But a quick check on its connections seems to tell a different story, as we find neither any SCART sockets nor a built in tuner ? digital or otherwise. The lack of a tuner means you can?t even call the 61XR4G a TV; it?s merely a screen.

NEC have a released a little gem here and I have to say it certainly impressed me, the sharpness and color reproduction on the GX2 series was much better than I had expected, so much so that after returning the monitor I went hunting for prices. Our editor Rich was even over and was impressed with it ( I had fractured arm so it was only a sympathy visit I bet :P ) and this is a guy that swears he would never use a LCD for gaming. Not once did he complain about any ghosting while taking a look at it and believe me for that to happen it has to be one pretty special LCD, If you are in the market for a LCD for gaming don't overlook the GX2 series from NEC, superb picture reproduction, and a nice design...
