The NEC ND-4551A is all the DVD writer you'll ever need. It boasts write speeds that humble the competition, the ability to burn every type of media available and "in drive" label burning. Considering the incredibly low price, I have no hesitation in labelling the ND-4551A as the best DVD writer currently available...

NEC has invested wisely when it created the Reference 21. By combining two technologies that carry with them obvious benefits, NEC will surely reap the rewards. The LED backlight with its wide colour gamut capability, robustness, controllability and eco-friendliness combined with the smaller footprint and functionality of a high-end LCD is a recipe that the NEC Reference 21 has got just right - albeit one with a fat price tag...

There's no denying that i-mode is great. I love the way it works, the selection of content, the pricing structure, the speed of access and the bundled push email. Unfortunately the NEC N411i just feels a little behind the times in today's world of super stylish and mega featured mobiles. NEC should be congratulated for getting i-mode handsets out so quickly, but something tells me that we'll be seeing far better examples in the near future...

The NEC MultiSync LCD 4610 is a big LCD, designed for the public display market. Despite its size, it has a splendid picture, it can be adjusted over a network or by remote control, it's packed with features and connectors and after the somewhat hefty initial outlay, it could save you money in the long run...

Despite NEC marketing the MultiSync LCD1980FXi at businesses, its top of the line panel, excellent performance, complete stand adjustability, comprehensive picture control and all the video ports you'll need, it's going to find buyers from all walks of life. A tad pricey now, but I'm sure that'll drop over time.

It's another NEC DVD writer and it's another cracker! The ND-3540A is lightning fast, supports the latest media formats and won't break the bank. If you're in the market for a new DVD burner, this is the one to go for.

Once again NEC has created a superb DVD writer that's ahead of the competition and the media manufacturers. But even more impressive than the specifications and potential performance is the amazing price. The NEC ND-3500A is no longer the best DVD writer around, but the ND-3520A is.

When all's said and done, the NEC 338 only has one real stand-out feature - its size. It offers all the major 3G functions, such as video calling and downloads in a package that isn't too bulky and with reasonable, if unspectacular, battery life. Assuming the lack of Bluetooth and the presence of an aerial aren't deal breakers, those looking for a 3G phone that's inexpensive to run but still does the business, may well be tempted.
