"Patriot had their plan down from the start; make a smoking hot SSD, name it something ultra cool (or hot in this case) and make the freaking case red no matter what. At one point even some Patriot reps didn?t know for sure if the red anodized case would make it to the final product, but everyone who saw the CES sample let it be known to marketing that the red must stay; me among them. There is just something about the color red, I?m a fan and I?m a fan of the Patriot Inferno.
My fanaticism really doesn?t come from just the color red; that would be ridiculous and shallow. Instead Patriot has won me over with more traditional means that surround nearly all of their SSD products. At this time Patriot has one of the longest warranty periods for their SSDs, a full five years. To put this into prospective, Corsair just raised their warranty from two years to three and OCZ is still holding onto the more traditional two year warranty."

A special gift today on our bench is the Patriot Torqx. The Torqx from the looks of it should be one of the SSD component that you would drool over. Equipped a MLC Indilinx controller with 64mb of cache we just can't wait to get to the testing phase. The advertised number should be enough for us to say it is a winner. But what is a review with the testing phase.

"Patriot is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and since their 1985 inception, the California based company has grown to become a global company with a solid reputation for providing quality memory and storage products. They didn't jump into the SSD market full force as some others have, but they have taken a more conservative approach instead. They are adding to their SSD lineup this month, releasing a value line of SSD's carrying the moniker of Zephyr - a name with roots to Greek mythology. The Zephyr line offers capacities of 64GB and 128GB at $184 & $358, respectively, and can only be found at Amazon.com for the first few weeks of availability. There is also a 256GB version but we have not received word on pricing yet. They all carry the newer JMicron JMF612 controller..."

Offering pretty much everything you might need for home storage, the Valkyrie is the subject of our attention today.?

Overclocking is getting easier than ever, and more and more users are finding that they want to try their hand at what used to be an art reserved for hardcore computer enthusiasts. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests the Patriot Gamer Series 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 dual-channel system memory kit, SKU PGS34G1600ELKA. Patriot designed this DDR3 kit to work with BEMPs (Black Edition Memory Profiles) that have been uploaded for use with the AMD Overdrive program in order to make overclocking even easier for the average enthusiast. This Patriot Gamer Series DDR3 RAM is designed to work in tandem with AMD Black Edition processors, but can be overclocked quite effectively in nearly any DDR3 compatible system. Priced at $130, the Patriot Gamer Series PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 kit represents a great opportunity for PC hardware enthusiasts to upgrade to low latency, high-performance memory at a very affordable price.

"SSDs still may be a few years away from mainstream acceptance due to the high cost of ownership versus a spinning drive, but for the enthusiast looking to round out their system or someone wanting to give their notebook a kick in the pants, there is no single upgrade that will do that better than a solid state drive. Today we will be taking a look at a drive from Patriot Memory, the 64 GB Torqx."

"Today for review I?ve got one of my favorite types of products, yes it?s the NAS box! This one though is from a company that you might not expect, Patriot Memory. Today I?m taking a look at the Valkyrie 2 Bay NAS box, not only do I have the normal stuff to show you about this product but I?ve put it up against eight other NAS boxes for comparison. The Patriot Valkyrie is the least expensive NAS box that I?ve reviewed, but how doe it hold up against ones that cost 2-3 times more? How is the performance in comparison and the features? Read on to find out? "

As the Editor-in-Chief here at APH Networks, it's probably no
surprise to you if I told you that my house is fairly filled with technology.
What I have around here is nearly a dozen computers, spread over three
floors. There are several network attached storage file servers. Multiple
wireless routers are set up to cover both sides of the house. Central wired
home networking with Gigabit switches are deployed for stationary devices.
Adding to that is a couple of network color laser printers. If what I have
mentioned sounds similar to what you have at home, man, you have got to keep
reading. If you don't, then man, you still got to keep reading, haha. A few
years ago, I reviewed Slim Device's Squeezebox V3 (Now owned by Logitech) --
an otherwise excellent network audio streaming device in its days. The device
was not without its limitations, however. For one thing, it was still
relatively expensive for approximately $300 at that time. Secondly, it only
plays audio, and not video. Thirdly, it only streams data from computers with
SlimServer installed. But times have changed. Today, we'll look at Patriot's
Box Office -- and to say Patriot's Box Office is probably one of the most
versatile media players that can hook up to your home theater system may
merely be an understatement. It not only plays music, but also videos at up
to 1080p resolution. It can play media files over network on virtually any
device with no modifications. Don't have a central media server? No worries
-- the Box Office can also accommodate an internal 2.5" hard drive to store
your music, movies, or photos, or even access files on an USB mass storage
device. With all the convenience to let you simply sit down on your couch and
access all your media by an (included) remote control, most people might be
scared to look at the price of admission at this point. But you know what?
It's only $100. Yep, I'm not kidding, and you didn't read it wrong -- a
hundred bucks! Read on to see if the Patriot Box Office is really that big of
a deal. Pun intended.

?The Box Office is a very simple media player that plays a substantial diversity of media formats and brings them into your Home entertainment area with relative ease. With support for the most popular media formats media players like the Box Office is a very handy device or at least a cheaper alternative compared to building an HTPC.?

"Today we get a look at yet another HD media player and this time it is Patriot Memory who step up to the plate and try and take a swing with its new Box Office. Does it have the goods to stand up and hit a home run?
Straight off the bat, I will say that sadly the Box Office is just another HD media player like the dozens and dozens already out on the market that make use of the Realtek chipset and similar software. It does become rather tedious continually looking at media players, which include the same functionality and include the same type of menu systems and setup options, but has Patriot done anything to stand out here?"

Whether you?re loading up with home movies or you?re looking for a better way to enjoy the digital content that you download from the Internet, it is certainly more appealing to bring that multimedia goodness into your living room. This is where we find ourselves with the Patriot Box Office PCMPBO25 Media Player. This relatively simple device looks like a set top box for your television, but it does so much more.

Even though the price of Solid State Drives is still a bit costly in today?s declining economy there is no doubt that they are the way of the future in terms of storage. The Patriot Torqx is one of the fastest SSD series available today. We take a look at a few synthetic and real world tests to show you how well this 128GB Solid State drive performs. Let?s just say it?s very fast.

"Today we're looking at a set of Patriot Viper II Sector 5 4GB DDR3-2000 modules that are optimized for use in the LGA1156 socket Core i5/i7 platform, and geared to those who want to push their system. We've seen in our past testing that Patriot modules typically offer great performance and value, so we'll see today if they can continue the trend."
