I can understand why Panasonic has decided to come to market with a 37in Full HD LCD TV, but unfortunately the TX-37LZD70 lacks some of the key features sported by its competitors. The lack of 1080p 24Hz may have been acceptable six months ago, but these days, with plenty of HD players offering pure 24fps output, this Panasonic looks to be behind the times.

Launched in May of this year, Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FX100 was the first 12-megapixel compact camera on the market. It has since been followed by several competing models from other manufacturers, some of which we've already reviewed. Can a Leica-branded lens and intelligent ISO control overcome the inerrant problems of ultra-high resolution sensors?

Pioneer's full HD KURO sets are now hitting the shops, but crucially they will also cost substantially more than this full HD unit. Set more fairly in the context of other 40-42in TVs around the 'just over £1,000' price point, the 42PZ70's performance strikes us as nothing less than imperious.

The compactness of the HDC-SD5 makes it a very tempting proposition if sheer portability is a major concern. Image quality may not be as good as HDV, and it lacks a few important features for the enthusiast. However, it still shoots great video and is very comfortable to use - plus the increasingly low price of SD cards mean they could end up being the winner of the current camcorder format wars.

A well designed and more affordable ToughBook, if you want ruggedness but think the full fat varieties are little too much, then the CF-52 is a great option.

The new Panasonic 3-CCD HDR-SX5 is a hybrid in that it records HD to SD memory cards or 3-inch blank DVDs.

AV purists that we unashamedly are, there's no doubt whatsoever that the 32LXD700 is a hugely impressive LCD TV thoroughly deserving of its 9 out of 10 overall score. But it would nonetheless be remiss of us if we didn't point out that if you're not bothered by the 32LXD700's extra audio power, third HDMI and SD card slot, you can actually get the same terrific picture quality from Panasonic's 32LXD70 model for a good few quid less. The choice is yours.

Panasonic keeps chipping away at Canon's position in the premium ultra-compact market, and with the wide-angle Lumix DMC-FX33 it has a camera that can take on the best of the IXUS range. It has style, elegance, build quality, performance and simplicity of operation, and while it is slightly lacking in picture quality it will seldom disappoint, producing good pictures in almost any situation.

Launched last month, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 has the largest zoom range you can currently find on a digital compact, with a huge 18x Carl Zeiss lens equivalent to 18-504mm, as well as the acclaimed MegaOIS image stabilisation system. But has the new Venus Engine III processor managed to beat the usual Panasonic bugbear of image noise?

Panasonic's HDC-SX5 hybrid camcorder has plenty of commendable qualities. The lack of microphone input and headphone output reduce its usefulness for more serious video making, but it offers good image quality in adequate lighting, and there are some useful manual controls on offer. We're not entirely convinced by the hybrid recording format because of DVD's limited capacity, and we're much more in favour of the HDC-SX5?s SDHC capabilities.

I first saw this TV at the Consumer Electronics Show back in January and I've been hassling Panasonic about getting a review sample ever since. You see, the TH-42PZ700B represents a landmark in the plasma high definition TV arena, and it strikes a hefty blow for plasma technology in the face of better and better specified LCD competition. What makes this plasma TV so special? It's the World's first 42in 1080p plasma screen - something that Panasonic's engineers should be very proud of.

Panasonic, it seems, can do no wrong in the flat TV world right now. Every recent LCD or plasma TV we've tested from the brand has delivered the goods in no uncertain terms. So how come the Overall mark at the top of this review of Panasonic's 26in TX-26LMD70 only reads a solid seven rather than a spectacular nine or ten? Well?

A few weeks ago we checked out and pretty much fell for Panasonic's 37in TH-37PX70: the only 37in plasma TV you can currently get in the UK. In fact, there was really only one thing we could fault that set on: it just wasn't big enough! So naturally we couldn't resist hunting down the biggest model currently available from the PX70 range: the 50in TH-50PX70. Can Panasonic's picture quality hold up when pushed to such a prodigious size?

Back in November 2005 I reviewed the Panasonic ToughBook CF-29 and proclaimed it the ultimate rugged notebook. In fact the CF-29 was so good, that Panasonic has only just replaced it with this, the CF-30. Like the CF-29 before it, the CF-30 looks like it could survive an earthquake, and while looks can often be deceptive, in this case, I rather think that they aren't.

The SDR-S10's size makes it the most pocket-friendly true camcorder we've yet seen. Video quality is still perfectly acceptable for the intended market, although there are insufficient features for the enthusiast. The lowly digital camera resolution also feels like a missed opportunity to create a killer convergence device, and the 25-minute recording time at top quality settings is also somewhat miserly - you'd still only get 100 minutes with an 8GB SDHC card.
