The Fourier IV is a pretty good cooling solution. Spire's innovative design and all-copper construction yielded very acceptable, but not outstanding, performance. The cooler has distinctive styling that looks good on a motherboard and can be used fanless, if the heat load is not too high.

Spire have released some pretty good power supplies in the past. Today I have one of their higher end units, the Spire Rocketeer SP-ATX-600w. Supporting multiple graphics cards, lets see what this PSU can manage?

Spire has done a great job with the VertiCool III in regards to its cooling ability. It holds up well against some pretty good competition while bringing a bit of its own individuality to the table. The addition of a fan speed control device will allow the user to dial in just the right noise-to-performance ratio for their particular hardware and environment. It doesn't have any fancy lighting or other visual enhancements, just great performance.

This 600W SLI ready unit from Spire features a low noise 120mm fan and enough power to run the most demanding gamer setup; being sold at a very competitive price of <$70 we find out if it's up to a Crossfire challenge.

Spire is perhaps not the most well known company, but they have been making waves in the cooler and PSU market for a few years now and recently they sent me their new Spire Rocketeer III 500w PSU. Read on to find out how it stood up to our tests.

If you're a PC enthusiast chances are you've heard of Spire and if you're a car enthusiast the chances are you've heard of Pininfarina. If you're into both the chances are good that when you heard those two words together your first thought was "WTF?". Well, Spire just didn't pull a name out of a hat for this case, it was indeed designed by the folks at Pininfarina. This begs the question "Just what do car designers know about PC cases?"

Though there are installation quibbles, this cooler has enough potential in its small package to hold down the loads from even the hardest pounding of chips. But here we stand, remember these words, these scores, systems and tests well readers. They're the last things you'll see from me, and fittingly enough, they'll take me out with a tip of my hat to both you, the reader, and to spire - for proving that more often than not, good things can come in small packages. It really is nice to have good cooling potential without losing 90% of your case's interior space to a heatsink

Enthusiasts shouldn't be expecting the world from such a small heat sink, but at the same token, there's no chance of breaking the bank, bending the board, or even botching this installation. So in the end, this sink is an excellent choice for the entry level user waiting for a solution to shut up the constant fan whine from your stock heatsink.

The bottom line is this. If you?re looking for one heck of a nice looking case with functionality and a solid layout that maintains excellent noise suppression and decent cooling, the Pininfarina is the first and last stop you should make. It is big enough for any hardware list yet not so large that it can't sit on top of a desk for everyone to see. The Pininfarina is well built and equally as well designed and anyone owning it should be more than pleased with their purchase.

The Spire Pininfarina is a great looking case that seems to fit in just about anywhere. The sleek appearance of this case looks ultra modern, while its modest design is very stylish. While I had come to terms with this case being useless for anyone that needs to move their computer from time to time (gamers), there was something else bothering me. That was the price of this somewhat impractical case, with a retail value of $130 US the Pininfarina is no bargain. At the same price tag cases such as the 100% aluminum Thermaltake Shark can be purchased, which weighs half as much as the Pininfarina and offers more features.

Temp reporting and fan control, it gets easier to do both all the time. Not long ago we brought you a look at a high dollar system that did it all but was a bit pricey. Today we look at an entry level setup that does less and more at the same time.
