The Spire VertiCool II SP601B3 heatsink is reminiscent of the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro, both are compact AMD Athlon64 coolers with heatpipes and a low noise signature. Spire's VertiCool II is not quite as finely crafted as the Arctic Cooling model, but it covers all the important bases. Read on...

Spire is no stranger when it comes to cooling solutions and definitely has the knowledge to create and supply decent cooling products. The CoolGate CPU cooler is specifically designed for high performance applications. It uses vertical dual heatpipes to transport heat away from the CPU. The concept of heatpipes has become quite interesting for any cooling application. Spire has adopted this technology to build a new range of high performance CPU coolers, and the CoolGate fits perfectly into that picture. The CoolGate CPU cooler applies heatpipe technology to elevate its cooling performance to the next level. Let's find out...

Without a doubt, one of the most important choices a system builder will make is the CPU cooler. Without a competent cooler, that freshly purchased, uber-fast processor can be brought down to a snail's pace by excessive heat. While not a newcomer, Spire has recently released some new coolers in an attempt to increase its market presence. The DiamondCool II is one of the new horses in the Spire stable and we're going to put it through its paces and see how it measures up...

There are several power supplies that are currently on the market that boast big power numbers and have a nice finish, but the thing that make the Spire an ideal pick of the litter is that it lives up to that boasting. Support for SLI and Crossfire is a big must for anyone who would consider themselves gamers and once again the Spire Rocketeer gives you that also...

Aesthetically, the panel is very pleasing to the eye and will compliment the look of any case, regardless of color. The shiny aluminum and the large knob, paired with a large blue-backlit LCD panel, are very futuristic. Some features I would have enjoyed if Spire had included them with the DigiPanel II are the ability to store different configurations and the ability to turn fans off completely...

One of Spire's latest products on the market to expand a computer storage capacity need is the GigaPod III 3.5" External Drive Enclosure, also known as GigaPod III SP110-NEB. The GigaPod III SP110-NEB is part of a growing family of external storage solutions that take advantage of USB 2.0's fast 480Mbps bandwidth. And for anyone who has a hard disk hanging around and regularly needs to move large chunks of data around from PC to PC, this is a relatively inexpensive way of doing it...

After having you served very well a few years, the boxed Pentium 4 cooler has become noisy. And you just want something new and better... Spire is offering some very budget minded coolers, one of them is the QuieTude VI. How does it stand against the boxed cooler?

The Spire KestrelKing VI is what it was meant to be, a decent budget cooler. Something as simple as sanding down the copper base to a higher grit should improve it's temperatures, which it is surprising Spire did not do this in the factory. Features like the automatic variable speed fan, and the sleeved fan wires are nice touches.

Spire's CoolGate is a good substitute for the stock Intel Pentium 4 cooler. I must say that side-blowing coolers aren't that common. This cooler is relatively small and light. To make the side-blowing fan more efficient, Spire utilized copper heatpipes to draw the heat to the upper part of the heatsink. In summary, while the CoolGate is a good alternative to Intel stock coolers, those who desire the absolute best in air-cooling may wish to look elsewhere.
