Steel is a company that I have much respect for. They have always thought of the gamer when building products. Even to this day, I use the Steelpad S&S for my mousepad needs. I have not used a better mousepad, ever. Continueing the tradition of quality products, Steel released sound gear to fullfil your gaming desires back when the 5H was first introduced. Since then, Steel has released a new 5Hv2 and, most recently, two new headsets. Let me introduce you to the 4H and the 3H.

So, you want a 5H V2 but are a little short on cash? Then the 4H should be right up your alley. With all the same specifications as the 5H V2 the 4H is definitely a contender. However the poor quality cable prevents me from awarding the 4H with a Top Rank Award. Having a great headset is all well and good but its useless if you trip over the cable once and its dead.

Well, given the price of the 3H I don't think you could ask for a better headset. This is definitely a solid entry-level product from SteelSound. The sound quality is amazing and the build quality is solid. Just listening to a few music tracks was enough for me to fall in love with these Headphones and trust me when I say that's no easy thing to achieve.

LAN parties are becoming all the rage these days, and manufacturers have realized that there is a niche that is yet to be fully exploited. Today I have the SteelSound 3H gaming headset, which is fully collapsible and ready for transportation.

The SteelSound 5H v2 is a headset designed with gamers in mind. SteelSeries' first headset was called the SteelSound 5H, today we test the second version. The new version features even better padding than the old one, to make it more comfortable. Besides that the internal connections were reworked for increased durability, which was a problem with the old version.

Before I opened the box I was hoping that SteelSound fixed everything and released a product that is worth the money of our readership and I am happy that I can say that time has come. It might have taken three tries, but it certainly wasn't three strike, you're out. Every conceivable problem with the previous versions have been attended to and fixed. The sound quality is no longer muddled, the microphone works perfectly and the ventilation has been improved.

The mouse pad itself excels in many areas, but the price may seem a bit stiff to some people as it sells for $29.99 U.S, which is a bit pricey for this type of product. The question of course at the end of the day is whether the product actually merits that type of case. I would have to say yes in my perspective as after using it for a week I don't see how I got along without it. It really has become an extension of my work area and one that functions well.

SteelSeries is well know throughout the competitive PC gaming community as company dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality accessories and peripherals. Starting with high performance mouse pads, SteelSeries moved on to professional grade headsets and keyboards. The Steelsound 5H was Steel Series' first attempt at a gaming headset, and it proved to be quite a learning experience. SteelSeries was forced to recall two production batches due to wiring problems for the ear cups and microphone. So, after several major changes and upgrades, SteelSeries is back and better than ever with the SteelSound 5Hv2 professional gaming headset.

This is a solid gaming headset that's stylish and well designed. The only downside would have to be the price. At £47.00, there's a lot of competition from some well respected brands in this area. That said, if you're looking for a headset to give you an edge when playing your favourite online game, SteelSound's 5H v2 is worth considering.

Buying a mouse pad is usually an after thought, but I think SteelSeries has built the better mouse trap, so to speak. My recommendation is that if you spend any amount of time on your computer, either at work or home, I suggest checking out the SteelPad5L. It provides an excellent work area for your mouse, which can only help your performance either in game or in applications. You can get one of these outstanding and large mousepats for about $40...

SteelSeries offer a number of solutions to your mouse pad needs, including several cloth and hard topped mats. The QcK range goes from mini to the QcK+ which, according to the SteelSeries website, is the "The limousine of cloth mouse pads". Let's see if it lives up to this accolade...

Of all the gaming pads I've tried, the SteelPad QcK+ is by far the best to date. I have come to truly appreciate the quiet and smooth action the mouse takes across the cloth surface and the pads huge size makes it ideal for the demanding play style of low sensitivity gaming. Of course, its size would also make it ideal for CAD or heavy graphics applications as well. Ironically the one drawback to the QcK+ is that you have to have the desk space necessary to use it...

Steel Series has stepped up to the plate with their new 5H USB headphone which integrates an external USB audio device, in-line controls, and extendable microphone. While the build quality and ergonomics of the headphones are exceptional, the headphone's overall performance is somewhat lackluster and leaves a lot to be desired. However, for someone looking for just about everything in one place, they might be worth a try...

With a market literally packed full of gaming headset product from various manufacturers, anyone trying to release their specific product on the market better have their "poop in a group" if they want to shoe horn their way through the competition. Let's see if this headset with its own USB soundcard does indeed do the trick...

Steelpad has made some quality products in the past, and I was excited to see what they could do to enhance the sound in a gamer's world. I was disappointed to say the least, by the lackluster sound quality that these headphones provide. I admit the thought was there, and the headphones are nicely designed, especially the microphone addition but design is not all there is...
