Ultra sent over four components from their Stackables line: Stackables 180-Watt Multi-Outlet Power Center, Stackables All-In-1 Card Reader & USB 2.0 Hub, Stackables 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Enclosure and the Stackables 3.5" IDE Hard Drive Enclosure. I will take a look at each product in detail throughout this review.

The Ultra X3 600W and 1,000W units overall are fantastic bits of kit - they look as good as you can get and have an awesome set of cables to complement the shiny gunmetal box. If you need a 1,000W model then the Tagan or Enermax might still be slightly better options in terms of absolute performance though. The Ultra X3 600W is an excellent choice for those wanting a mainstream unit and although it may cost a bit more, it's certainly a worthwhile investment. Many will still love the highly recommended Corsair HX620, and quite rightly so, but the 600W X3 should be considered quite a serious contender to it because it does just about everything right.

Designated the m998 in recognition of the HMMWV "Humvee", Ultra compares its latest case offering to the ruggedness and versatility of the popular military vehicle. Can this aluminum mid-tower design really live up to its appointed name?

Ultra Products beefed this case up and gave it a name that is tough as nails, the M998 for those that don't know is the designator for the HMMWV Cargo/Troop Carrier or Humvee as it is better known. Come on along as we check out the many features of the truly unique case, which also features something new called the "Ultra Power Bar". You will have to check out the review to find out about it.

Each month here on HardwareLogic, we select the best user submitted guide or review and publish it on our main page. In addition, the kind folks at Newegg kick in a $50 gift certificate to the winner, and this month, we're awarding Mike "Screwball" Kaiser" for his Ultra 7-Port Buddy Hub review.

I had pretty much settled on this cluttered system... that is, until I came across the Ultra Products 7 Port USB Buddy Hub. This USB hub seemed to be the answer to all of my problems and would leave me with a much cleaner workstation. I contacted Ultra Products and a few weeks later, the Buddy Hub arrived for testing. Will this hub really solve all of my problems?

Ultra have redesigned their first modular PSU several times in order to keep up with the progress of personal computers and now are marketing the third generation of their modular PSUs, the X3 series. We reviewed the powerful 800W, 1000W and even the monstrous 1600W X3 units in the past, and we found them to be excellent performers. Not everyone has the funds to buy one of these units however so today to complete our coverage we will review the Ultra X3 600W. The Ultra X3 600W unit is the only unit of the series which offers a very competitive price/performance ratio with its price tag being nearly half that of the 800W unit directly above it. The big question is however, is it any good?

The Ultra m998 Mid-Tower Chassis is what Ultra intended it to be for, a Ultimate Gaming Chassis, it doesn't have fancy LCD's or fan controllers because it's meant to be carted around for LAN's and gaming events, and because gamers like to install their own fan controllers and LCD's. One thing that first caught my mind is the size of the chassis, its wider and longer then a standard ATX case. This makes its perfect for the gamers because of their need to use over sized power supplies, coolers and video cards.

Marking the 3rd generation of Ultra's popular X-Connect line of power supplies, the latest X3 series combines all the great features of previous models, such as fully modular design and FlexForce cables, with high power outputs to satisfy the demands of today's multi-core CPU/GPU systems.

We're writing to let you all know that we've just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we take a look at the Ultra X3 1000 Watt Energy Efficient Modular PSU. Boasting high efficiency and a modular design, the Ultra X3 has more than just 1000 watts of peak power to offer; it also sports a slick finish and near silent fan. Ultra's line of modular power supplies is known for its stability and originality, and the X3 series is no exception. The X3 series is up to 85% efficient at typical load and has outputs ranging from 600W to a mind-boggling 1600W. ThinkComputers got its hands on the 600W version and tests out the robust and easily-routed unit in this review.

A majority of today's computer peripherals utilize USB technology. Keyboards, mice, printers, cameras, scanners, thumb drives, drink warmers, and even foam missile cannons all connect through USB. For real convenience, it would be nice to be able to share all of these USB devices between two computers. You wouldn't even have to reload your cannons, just hit a button and switch to the next one! This is where the Ultra Products 7 Port USB Buddy Hub comes in.

Power supplies have come of age in the last few years. This new coming of age is due mostly to the new energy standards set forth by the government. These new changes allow the end user to have a more reliable and efficient piece of equipment, which brings me to a new energy efficient power supply I have from Ultra. This is from the line of power supplies named the X3 collection, which range from 600 watt to 1600 watt. The unit I have for review is the 600 watt model. These power supplies are 100% modular, and the 1000 watt model comes in two style: either for SLI or CrossFire. The new line of X3 power supplies will convert as much as 85% of the used AC current into useable DC current, the rest being lost to heat and other electrical anomalies. Being fully modular also eliminates any unneeded cable inside the enclosure, thus giving the end result a cleaner look.

Except for those running a massive system that includes a good deal of the latest hardware, 1000W is more power than you could possibly need. During the course of the review, the Ultra Products X3 1000 Watt modular power supply came close to powering two full systems, and there was still plenty of power left to toss much more hardware at it.

We?re writing to let you know that we've just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the features, installation, and performance of Ultra's ChillTec Thermo-Electric CPU Cooler. The ChillTec is a bit more than an oversized aftermarket cooler. This unit marries two technologies into a single package, teaming a heat-pipe tower-type cooler with a peltier and an oversized fan to offer extreme cooling potential. To help facilitate use of its features, Ultra also integrates an external module that's programmed to control the cooler's functions and report on the current health of the CPU. Head on over to the site and check it out...
